July 27, 2026Left in the Middle of Our Wedding Ceremony
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company based on our experience. We paid for a professional string quartet to perform during our wedding ceremony, and I was incredibly disappointed both by the quality of the performance and by how the situation was handled.
There was a light drizzle around the time of our ceremony, so we provided the musicians with a large umbrella that covered them and their instruments. They were able to perform the processional under the covering. Our ceremony began only approximately 10-15 minutes late.
Despite this, the musicians packed up and left while our wedding ceremony was still taking place.
Because they left before the ceremony was over, we had no live music during our communion and prayer, which the owner claimed I had not asked for music during this even though every time we spoke and all of my emails had this song in it but she failed to put it in our final agreement and acted like I never asked for this song, and then no recessional music as we walked back down the aisle for the first time as husband and wife. Our guests literally watched the musicians pack up and leave while the ceremony was still happening. It was heartbreaking, distracting, and incredibly disappointing.
To make matters worse, during the portion of the ceremony in which they did perform, the instruments sounded noticeably out of tune. For $1,500, I expected a polished and professional performance, and unfortunately that was not what we received. She claimed how could I know they were out of tune if I also claimed they did not play a full prelude... even if they played one minute of music I could hear they were out of tune.
After the wedding, I received an email explaining that the ceremony had been delayed and that the recessional ultimately fell outside their contracted performance window. That explanation was particularly frustrating because it does not accurately represent our experience. Our ceremony began 10-15 minutes late, and regardless of the recessional timing, the musicians packed up and left before the ceremony itself had even concluded.
I completely understand that musicians need to protect themselves and their instruments from weather, and I would never expect anyone to perform in conditions they genuinely believed were unsafe. However, they had been provided with substantial cover and had already chosen to perform under it. If they had another commitment that required them to leave at a specific time regardless of whether our ceremony had concluded, I believe that should have been communicated clearly rather than simply packing up and leaving during our wedding.
These were moments we cannot recreate. We specifically chose to spend $1,500 on live ceremony music because we wanted music accompanying some of the most meaningful moments of our wedding day. Instead, the performance we did receive sounded noticeably out of tune, and the musicians left before completing our ceremony.
For such an important and once-in-a-lifetime event, I expected significantly more professionalism, communication, and accountability. The owner sent me a ridiculously long email with "Exhibits" as if we were in a legal battle and not conversing on the matter of substantially negatively impacting my most important day. This was not handled as these matters should. She was sarcastic and unreasonable. Basically, if you live in Florida or any state that may drizzle even for a few minutes, do not hire this company.

Chloe, I am sorry that your ceremony did not meet your expectations. I reviewed the details of your event, including our Contract, Event Details Confirmation, text messages, text messages with your coordinator, musician statements, and our subsequent phone conversation on July 25. Several statements in your review are inconsistent with the record. It was not a “light drizzle” when the musicians arrived. It was raining heavily. In our texts in Feb. 2026, you stated you would move the ceremony indoors if there was rain. I confirmed that plan with your coordinator the morning of your event. However the ceremony proceeded outdoors in active rain. When asked during our July 25 phone call why you continued outdoors despite those provisions, you stated “I didn’t want an indoor ceremony.” Your Contract states that if it is actively raining 60 minutes before the event we will move indoors, will not perform outdoors in active rain, and will not perform under inadequate cover. The musicians set up indoors due to heavy rain with the groom’s approval. Also, the small umbrella provided did not adequately protect the musicians. This was communicated to your coordinator. The cellist had to stand huddled underneath the umbrella. After playing the bridal song, conditions worsened. The musicians then exercised safety provisions and relocated indoors. This is corroborated by texts with your coordinator, who had knowledge the umbrella was inadequate. Also, the musicians did not leave in the middle of your ceremony. The quartet remained until 5:50, five minutes after the contracted time. They were unable to play your recessional piece due to the rain and inadequate coverage. Also, your signed Event Details Confirmation did not include a communion song; please read your signed Event Details. Lastly, your coordinator later described my musicians as “the epitome of professionalism.” I stand by that statement. I regret your disappointment and wish you and your husband the best.
