About

A South Louisiana guitarist, vocalist and harmonica player, with a flare for style and his Chris Farley like energetic on-stage persona, have taken him to a new level of musician. Paul has reinvigorated the Blues scene to include a younger audience, by incorporating old southern blues with his rock vocals, he leads band “The Vermillioinaires” who add a new style of their own. With over 20 years of performances, one studio album and various guest appearances on local atrist albums such as Bret Vidrine and Dustin Dale Gaspard.
All of which has contributed to a long-lasting career in music.

Paul was born and raised in South Louisiana in the small town of Abbeville, his interest in music started at the tender age of 2, listening to Fats Domino, Elvis, The Beatles and many rock and blues classics. He picked up his first guitar at 15 and started to play gigs. Then at 22 he was inspired by John Popper, to pick up the harmonica, which he mastered and had the honor of sharing the stage with the late Blues Piano legend Henry Gray.

In 2007 Paul was recruited by the Southern Rock band, Gabby Hayz, as their lead vocalist and harmonica player. The band's freshman album "Keepsake" would make it overseas and back, it was picked up by independent label Grooveyard Records.

Paul's next big venture started in early 2008 when he hooked up with Beau Young and Jake Landry to form the “The Trio” for a short time which then lead to the formation of “The Right Lane Bandits”, a six-piece band with members from all over the Gulf Coast, showcasing musicians from Chicago and Connecticut, as they traveled and toured. Playing for private shows, party events, in Chicago and various House of Blues venues, “The Right Lane Bandits” found a home in New Orleans. The House of Blues became their weekly venue and was the in-house band for the members-only Foundation Room. Paul has opened for performances such as Tenacious D, Foo Fighters, Biz Markie, Collective Soul, Rival Sons Stone Temple Pilots, Andy Frasco & The UN and most recently with Dustin Dale Gaspard at Jazzfest 2023.

Paul has also worked with radio personality Micheal “Airlift Mike” Ziants in making a jingle for Frere' Jean's Cajun Seasoning.

In between shows Paul has participated with his community theater, The Abby Players, where he has worked with cast and crew on and off stage. He was featured in two musicals, “Kiss Me Kate” and “Jekyll & Hyde” where he played Lord Savage, which received such outstanding reviews that it was followed with an encore performance in the summer.

Recently Paul teamed up with the members of “Three-Thirty Seven” and “The Vermillionaires”, using his vocals to front the band and add a touch of southern blues playing at local venues, casinos, festivals, weddings, to full stage performances, Paul along with “The Vermillionaires”, have drawn a large following.
The 9 piece band is currently revamping for 2024.

Even in the toughest of times his music and drive continues to inspire, delight, and bring a community together at any event
