Overview
Bayou Boogie is a Shreveport (LA.) based, professional touring band featuring 'Louisiana' roots music and specializing in authentic Zydeco, Cajun, & Swamp Pop. Bayou Boogie is the premier 4 piece band in the entire Ark-La-Tex area. Formed in mid-2011, the band is made up of Pat Mason (Accordions, guitar, lead vocal) , Kyle Martin (guitar, vocals), Jordan Dean (Bass), and Jamichael Wiley (Drums). If Dancing is your thing, then Bayou Boogie is your band.

Zydeco Band
We hired Pat Mason & Bayou Boogie for our wedding reception in Shreveport and they were PERFECT! We gave the band creative freedom to play whatever they wanted, with a request for traditional Zydeco music, as we had family coming in from out of state and wanted them to get a little flavor for the culture. They played an amazing line-up of songs that got everyone moving, but they also read the guests really well and obliged with a slow song when we needed to catch our breaths! We got SO many compliments on how amazing these guys were, across generations (from age 6 to age 98!) I also was so amazed with the band's flexibility and patience; our catering ran an hour late, and I was super worried we wouldn't get any dance time by the time we were ready, but we actually had to tell them to leave when the venue was closing, and they joked they had another set for us - they really went above and beyond. We would recommend this band to anyone wanting to have a good time!
Zydeco Band
I'm a professional event planner and hire bands all the time for all over the U.S. I look for a unique style that is a cut above the usual cover band, as well as a sound that will fit the theme of my events or the culture of the city. These guys fit the bill at my most recent reception! They just pulled the party theme totally together and my guests were asking where I found them! Band members all look like they are having a great time on stage, too. Music is a combo of old faves with a unique Zydeco twist to them, plus some original tunes. I highly recommend them.

What to Expect
We are primarily a 'Louisiana roots' band specializing in authentic Zydeco, Cajun, and Swamp Rock music, but we play all forms of dance music including Soul, R&B, Funk, Blues, and other forms of popular music. We are primarily used in festivals, wedding receptions, private/corporate events, and night clubs.
About
Bayou Boogie is a professional touring (primarily a 'Louisiana' - genre) band focusing on Zydeco, Cajun, Swamp Rock and Pop. We are the only band within a 250 mile radius of Shreveport which also plays authentic Zydeco and Cajun music (using real accordions and real musicians steeped in the Cajun/Zydeco styles of their native Louisiana). Pat Mason (Guitars/Keyboards/Accordions/Lead vocals) - Jamichael Wiley (Drums ) - Kyle Martin (Guitars) - Jordan Deen (Bass).
Additional Booking Notes
We have our own sound and lighting systems. Our sound system is all digital powered equipment utilizing direct instrumentation (no amps) and monitors through our main PA system thus reducing our onstage volume & noise. We can mix and match our equipment to accommodate either a small club or large venue (indoor or out).
