Influences & Inspiration
I am influenced by much of the history of jazz; the stride piano style of Fats Waller and Art Tatum, the bebop of Charlie Parker and Bud Powell, the unique and unclassifiable style of Ahmad Jamal and Erroll Garner, and more recent innovators such as Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, and Brad Mehldau. I am also very interested in classical music, especially the music of J.S. Bach and Johannes Brahms. Outside of the classical and jazz world the music of Radiohead, James Blake, Flying Lotus, Prince and Stevie Wonder are great inspirations as well.
