Working with Julie Paradies for my wedding ceremony was an absolute dream. From my very first inquiry, her communication was incredibly professional and her replies were prompt. She helped us select the perfect repertoire for our intimate Lutheran church ceremony which was not only reassuring - it relieved me (a very busy bride-to-be) of having to request a long list of songs to fill in an hour+ of music while guests arrived!

Julie's performance during the ceremony was nothing short of breathtaking. She played beautiful classical music with so much grace and talent that set the perfect romantic tone for our prelude through our recessional exit. Her rendition of 'Cant Help Falling in Love' as I walked down the aisle made my groom very emotional, and it was without a doubt the sweetest moment of the day for me. Our wedding guests were constantly raving about our violinist well into the evening, all mentioning how elegant and moving it was.

What to expect

I love playing at weddings because they’re all unique!
Why is it spelled Paradies? It’s my husband Jim’s last name, and it means paradise in German! Jim plays the trumpet. 🎺
As The Paradies Ensemble we’ve played together as an ensemble for over 25 years—working on intonation, vibrato, and other techniques to create a unified sound. We have performed at hundreds of concerts, recitals, musical shows and weddings in the Hudson Valley of New York State before relocating to Pinellas County, Florida.
The Paradies String Quartet will present a candlelight concert Friday November 20, 2026, at 7pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 455 Scotland St, Dunedin FL 34698. This concert is presented by The Dunedin Public Theater.
You can hire me as a solo violinist, or along with my colleagues as a string quartet, string trio, or string duo.
Julie is the Concertmaster of 2 orchestras— the Suncoast Symphony and the Pinellas Community Orchestra (aka Anona Community Orchestra), which brings music to the residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. We both a members emeritus of the Tampa Bay Symphony.
At your wedding or other event, you contract us for one hour, but it’s one and a half hours of our time, because we arrive for set-up 30 minutes before the start of the Prelude music. Rest assured that we will check in with the officiant so that everything runs smoothly. We’ll play your choice of music, for example Canon in D, A Thousand Years, All You Need Is Love, etc.
We have over 25 years experience, so trust us with the details!
We look forward to “playing a part” in the success of your wedding!

About

Julie started violin lessons at age 7 because her mother was an elementary school music teacher. She played all thru high school and at Oberlin College.
Julie’s classical violin music will add a timeless vibe to your unique wedding ceremony.
We can play at your event as a solo violin, duo, trio, or quartet— all strings, or with trumpet, piano or harp—your choice.
Julie’s favorites include light classical such as Pachelbel Canon in D, Bach Air in G, and the Massenet Meditation. Julie brings her feminine interpretation to pop songs such as Cristina Perri A Thousand Years, Taylor Swift Love Story, Billie Eilish Birds of a Feather, and a hundred others.
Julie has played at weddings for over 25 years. She playsin in several orchestras, and has been hired to play in musical shows with Eight O’Clock Theatre, Tamparep, freeFallTheatre and American Stage. In the Spring 2026 Julie played in the pit of American Stage’s Park production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods.
