Overview
With great weather around the corner why not add a tropical flavor to your next event. The Panwaves Steel Band has been entertaining since 1989. The band can preform as a duo, trio or even a soloist. Music ranges from Calypso, Reggae, Latin, Motown and Top 40 Hits. Imagine having your guest enjoy the sounds of the islands at your next special event or patio night.

What to expect
The band is available with 1 to 3 steel drum players. A soloist will preform with 1 steel drum and a back track. 2 to 3 players will preform with a back track or with a drummer/percussionist. We always bring a few extra instruments like shakers and maracas in case your guest want to join in. We also provide a limbo stick for getting guest involved.
About
The band can be seen around the K-W Region in Santa Clause Parades and the Cambridge Canada Day Parade. Panwaves have also participated in the Scotia Bank Caribana Parades and Panorama/Pan Alive Competitions in Toronto from 1996 to 2002. The band has received many best band awards and in 2002 band leader Clyde Dookie received the Bernice Adams Award for music.

Influences and inspiration
Panwaves Steel Band have been influenced by many people. Musical arrangements have been composed for the band by some of Canada's best including Mark Mosca, Ned Stephens and our instruments are tuned by Roland Harrigan of Panyard Inc. One of the highlights of the bands history was opening the 1996 Caribana Parade with the National Anthem in the former Exhibition Stadium.
