I can perform in anything from string quartets, to a solo piano performance, so I'm super well-rounded! I actually used to perform on piano on cruises and in bars, and had story-time sets that I'd tell while I play. I can also listen to *almost* any song and perform my own rendition of it after listening to it once.
For string quartets and other group things, I specialize in taking any request, and writing sheets for the rest of the group for that song to perform, and I'm able to do this within 2-3 days notice!
Hired as part of a group of musicians to preform background music for a get together of agents in my company. Worked meticulously to provide each song that was requested. Showcased his perfect pitch ability (which impressed a lot of the higher valued guest that came along). Would highly recommend to anyone in need of viola and I don't doubt his skill is anything less than exceptional for piano.
Response from Pangtience:
Thanks Carl! It was a blast!

Firstly, I used to do a ton of live stream performances of my acts, and most likely will begin doing that again in the near future. Check me out on twitch!
My go-to act are my story-time segments - they're essentially slightly embellished stories, either of my own life or of those close to me, and I couple them with music to match what I'm talking about. These are popular on cruises and piano bars! I can also do some general dueling piano or viola, if the need arises!
I also can perform in any group, such as string quartets or orchestras. If you need help organizing one, I have a long list of musician friends who will be able to fill your needs! I can take any song request you like, for any occasion - weddings, baby showers, house parties, or even a romantic date night for your loved one out in the park!
I'm comfortable performing both solo and with other people, in any genre, ranging from classical to jazz, to modern and contemporary! I also write sheets so if other performers want sheet music for your requests, feel free to ask!
I have my Bachelor's in Viola Performance from University of Washington, and got my Master's in Viola Performance from Seattle Pacific University. I grew up in Redmond, Washington, and started piano when I was very young, branching out from there to violin and viola, then picking up flute and other instruments to help my composing! I now live in the Seattle area and I love music and performing!
If you'd like to feature us on stage, my needs will vary depending on what act you choose. Of course, for any piano acts, a grand piano is preferred on site, and any sort of mic setup that the grand would come with. Otherwise, I have my own keyboard - a Yamaha CP50, which has some basic 1/4" patch cables as output; I would only need a place for those to go. I do have my own pair of speakers, but they would require an outlet as well (and also work well as a substitute PA system).
For string quartets, I would only need a tent for outdoor performances - otherwise you're free to mic us as you see fit!
Regardless of which instrument you'd like me to have (or even if you're just asking me for sheet music or arrangements), I would greatly appreciate chairs for myself and other performers.
I don't have an actual set-list because I'm super flexible and will learn any songs I'm given! However, I do have some suggestions to help give some direction, for some of those gigs where it's up to me to decide!
Jazz: mainly just improv, or jazz-ed versions of pop songs
Classical: Beethoven's Fur Elise, Chopin's Nocturne, Mozart's Concerto in A minor, etc
Modern: Any pop song on the radio - think Chainsmokers, Justin Timberlake, etc!
My story-time sets are fully original and from the heart!
I'm heavily influenced by Disney, pop, Christian, and Broadway music, but I can fill jazz and classical as well! My jazz style is old-school New Orleans, and for classical, I tend to stick to Mozart and Beethoven classics!
