February 7, 2022The Oxymorons put together an event to raise money to fight human trafficking on their own initiative. They organized the venue, made television and radio appearances to promote the event, and recruited a popular local band to donate their time to perform at the event as well. The venue was packed and raised $1300 for the Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado.
The performance of the Oxymorons was funny, entertaining, and appropriate for all audiences. The group brings lots of energy and excitement to their performance and really engage the audience. They are reliably funny and great entertainment.
I recommend you hire Oxymorons Comedy - a quick witted group with a heart for the community.

February 4, 2022I highly recommend you make an effort to attend one of the Oxymoron Comedy improv performances. Trip Uhalt is totally dedicated and passionate about providing family friendly improv comedy while always selecting worthy causes and nonprofits that financially benefit from their shows. Trip also acts as promoter diligently utilizing television, radio and social media to 'get the word out' for the next show. The generosity of Trips' employer, Cave of the Winds, and the other sponsors bring a sense of excitement to each show with countless prizes for those in the audience. Oxymoron performances have contributed approximately $1,300 to the work of the Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado. To he and his troupe we are humbled and grateful. And we are only one of many local organizations that Oxymorons Comedy has impacted to bring greater exposure and much needed donations. Oxymorons Comedy can create your event, promote, create ads, setup audio and tech, bring quality raffle prizes, run the raffle, collect door admission, perform Standup and Improv and run the entire event, or we can simply show up and perform!
Oxymorons Comedy is an award-winning (Best Of Springs Improv Group since 2019), clean and family friendly, Christ following, Stand-Up and (Whose Line is it Anyway) Improv comedy group dedicated to putting the joy of the Lord in people's hearts.
We do a lot of charity and fundraising work (almost $10,000 to local charities last year).
We don’t do “the church thing“ on stage. We bless our audiences with laughter, showing them that our God is not just the God of “thou shalt nots“, but THE God of joy, love, laughter, Grace, forgiveness and salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.
We perform secular shows for general audiences and also have our own "Joy of the Lord" performances with some short teaching and ministry for churches, youth groups and other!
When we’re not performing or making whacky videos we’re posting clean, funny memes daily! 😃🥸❤️✝️
We have our own audio mics, mixer, speakers and field pack. Or we can give you an xlr or 1/4" mixing board input into your system.
We prefer at least a 2' elevated 16'w x 8'd stage, but not absolutely necessary.
We prefer simple stage lighting (don't need a spot).
We're very flexible and self-contained!
If you have an old Snickers bar laying around those are appreciated.
Numerous Improv bits and games suited to the audience.
Oxymorons Comedy is influenced by Whose Line is it Anyway (of course!), the Groundlings, UCB, Second City, and numerous Standup comedians including Jim Gaffigan, Nate Bargatze, John Heffron, Kathleen Madigan, Jackie Kashian and more!
We have our own equipment and can adapt to whatever is or is not available.
