Instruction on how to decorate a Small Sock Puppet. I will make 10 (ten) handmade Small Sock Puppets, without arms approximately 10 inches long and 5 inches wide out of poly-fleece. The guest of honor Choose the colors of your puppets: white, blue, red, yellow, green, pink, black or orange. All puppets have soft mouth pallets, very easy to manipulate and great facial expressions.
I will begin by talking about my own puppets and show some of my for inspiration. The participants will have time to design, choose their decorating elements and attach the media of their choice. All necessary crafting supplies are included and brought to your selected location.
By the end of the party, the participants will take home their own custom sock puppet and a very cool memory!

Making puppets just seems to be the right thing for me to do. I love exploring the art form and creating the cavalcade of characters. Creating comes naturally to me, just like breathing. My full-time day gig is teaching Visual Art to a bunch of middle school students. It's a blast and always an adventure. I get my inspiration from them and my family. All of my puppets are individually named because their characteristics remind me of my students, family or friends. ​

I am not a puppet performer. I love the behind the scenes work and making the puppets. To make the event as successful as possible, we will need some portable tables with protective coverings (paper or plastic tablecloth). An adjacent area with access to electricity, for hot glue gunning. Extra hands are appreciated and helpful, especially when working with young children. The area will get messy, feathers, yarn and sequins, oh my!!
