Out Loud

I had this group play in our bar and everyone loved them! Had such a great time I will be having them back! Had people ask for their information so they could book them at their personal parties too! Great job guys! Can't wait to see you again in a couple of months.

These guys are awesome. I was most familiar with three of the members that were from another band, so when I first signed the current five members up to play I wasn't quite sure what to expect. To sum it up, all expectations were exceeded.

For five years now I have had nothing but great experiences at my annual party, and hear nothing but positive comments about my band of choice. They set the play lists but do allow me to indicate my preferences on songs. I even find myself on the stage singing along at times.

They play four sets for me so it amounts to about four hours of classic rock music, with some of the current tunes that I like mixed in as well. Some of the songs I have first heard by the band and they have now become favorites (December), so much that when I hear the songs on the radio I don't think they sound as good as played live by Out Loud.

I look forward to having them again this year.

I've seen these guys a couple times at Soaring Wings Winery and they never disappoint. Great variety of music. I remember hearing them do Black Horse and a Cherry Tree and thinking wow, cool and the next thing I know they're doing some Wild Cherry and people are dancing, I mean at a winery, people up dancing! you don't see that often. I make it a point to see when they are playing now--thumbs up on these guys.

I saw these guys play at the VFW in Ashland a while back, and I've since made a point to catch their gigs whenever I can!

One of this band's best attributes is their repertoire. While some bands "play it safe", playing only the mega-hits, and other bands only play THEIR personal favorites, never throwing the audience a bone, these guys have a great blend of mega-hits and deep cuts. They know the standard charts that every cover band should (e.g. "Wonderful Tonight", "Shook Me All Night Long"), but they've also got a wide range of songs you didn't realize you loved so much until you hear them live (e.g. "Never Been Any Reason" by Head East, "Break Up Song" by Greg Kihn).

Also, while 70's and 80's classic rock is their bread and butter, they thrown a good variety of 90's alternative, 80's punk, funk, disco, and folk charts. They really do have something for everyone. I brought five of my friends to one of their gigs, 2 of them were metal-heads, 2 pretty much listened to pop exclusively, and one was a classic rock "purist". Each of them said something along the lines of "wow! I didn't expect to hear THIS song!" at some point in the night.

Besides their awesome set list, they also have great stage presence. They strike a perfect balance between fun and professionalism; they're confident but not arrogant, professional but not sterile, rowdy but not rude.They're stars up on the stage, but they're also super-friendly in between sets.

I'm sure I've made it clear by this point that I'm pretty partial to these guys, but don't just take my word for it! I'd encourage anyone to catch one of their gigs. Also, I think I remember them having a pretty good website with recordings on it. I'm too lazy to look up the URL, but I'm sure you could probably find it on google if you're interested.
