What to expect

Ora Street is a fully turn key operation, we can (if needed) provide everything we need to perform - including sound, PA, sound engineers and are own crew, depending on the gig, this is included in our minimum price. Typically for an evening concert, we like to arrive or have access to the venue at 10am to get everything setup in time with no rush, giving us time to work through the inevitable challenges of setting up sound. Ora Street is also happy to work with the facility's sound team and gear.

Our show is usually an hour long, depending on the purpose of the event, we can share the Word, testimonies, evangelize and preach, we are also happy to work with other bands and musicians or speakers. (its rare we do a show without other bands as we love to create opportunities for others)

We typically move from song to song quickly except for the songs we intend to speak about (in other words, we don't ramble on for 15 minutes before each song) We are very flexible and happy to serve the event or situation in a way to make it a success.

About

Ora Street Mission Band was started by an ocean lifeguard Tim Spencer after playing with Mercy Me. Mercy Me moved to Oklahoma to begin their journey and Tim Spencer stayed in Florida. A local pastor reached out to Tim looking for a band to play at the Teen Challenge ministry happening on Ora Street at the time. Tim got together with the best players he knew and started the "Ora Street Mission Band" Ora Street Mission Band has played in recovery centers, open air evangelism concerts, festivals, churches and in the prison system. They love to share their hope in Jesus while also laying down solid music.

Influences and inspiration

70's Rock, Funk, 90's Rock, Jazz.

MorningStar worship is also a huge influence. (Don Potter, Leonard Jones, Gary Lunn)

We don't play "secular" music, but we are often reminded of when Israel plundered Egypt and used those materials to build the Tabernacle.

We have compared to early Jeremy Camp, Three Doors Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam, though I don't feel any one of those comparisons fit our entire catalogue.
