Optimus Prime offers a professional show with a wide mix of popular songs from five decades. We have a full light show and an excellent sound. The show is high energy, with four different lead vocalists and lots of harmonies. We play artists from Tom Petty to Prince, Madonna to Pearl Jam, and so much more. We work closely with clients to ensure that every part of our peformance aligns with your expectations.
Optimus Prime formed in 2012, featuring members of Filament, Interstellar Overdrive, Mercury Trio, Rutherford, and more. We played gigs around the Midwest including club dates, wedding receptions, and private parties. In 2015 we disbanded as several members were relocating to other cities and states for other musical opportunies. In 2023 we reformed, as all the original members were once again in the same city. Since then, we have been playing club dates and expanding our setlist.
Optimus Prime is ready to bring music to your party!
The band features four lead vocalists, two female and two male, and four singers total. We have three guitarists, a keyboardist, a bassist, and a drummer. We can perform without amps and with electronic drums if volume is an issue. Optimus Prime has a full PA and lighting system suitable for gigs from 50 - 5,000 people. We also can offer a scaled-down version of the band, our acoustic trio Bumblebee for smaller events.
