An audience walking into an Open Heart set will immediately notice the clarity of the sound. There are no muddy mixes or "red-lining" speakers. Only crisp, high-fidelity audio. They will see a performer who reads the room in real-time, seamlessly pivoting through genres to keep the energy high and the transitions flawless. Founded on a passion for technical precision and pure musicality, Open Heart Productions is the professional home of David Hallman, a DJ and audio engineer dedicated to creating unforgettable sonic experiences.
A graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Music Recording and Production, David Hallman brings a level of expertise to the booth that goes far beyond the average playlist. This formal training allows Open Heart Productions to deliver studio-quality sound reinforcement and seamless transitions across any genre. Whether it’s an elegant wedding, a high-energy corporate event, or a late-night club set, the approach remains the same: technical excellence paired with an open-minded, "open heart" connection to the crowd.

1. Sound & Audio Engineering
PA System: I provide a high-fidelity sound system capable of clear, distortion-free coverage for up to 300 guests.
Microphones: I provide professional wireless microphones for announcements and toasts, utilizing frequency management to avoid interference.

2. Power Requirements
Placement: Outlets should be located within 25 feet of the DJ booth location.
Outdoor Events: For outdoor sites, a quiet inverter generator or a stable power source with surge protection is required.

3. Staging & Workspace
Surface: Performance area must be a solid, dry, and level surface (no grass or sand for equipment stability).
Footprint: A minimum workspace of 10' x 8' is requested for equipment, stands, and lighting.

4. Lighting & Visual
Lighting packages are treated as an additional service fee beyond the standard performance rate. I will need to know exactly the type of lighting needed before giving an accurate quote.

5. Logistics
Load-In/Setup: I require access to the performance area 90–120 minutes prior to the event start for sound check and calibration.
Strike: Approximately 60 minutes is required for safe equipment breakdown after the event concludes.
