John Skoczen has made a lifetime study out of drumming. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in music performance and education. John did his first contract as a musician on cruise ships in 1996 aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines to the Bahamas and Virgin Islands. He has toured the Caribbean numerous times as a musician for Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruise Lines.
In and around the Austin Texas area, John is available to play all types of events from birthday parties to formal events like wedding receptions. From high energy to light background music, John has the versatility to make any event memorable, all at an affordable price.

What to expect
You can expect a quality performance of solo steel drum played to accompaniment music
using a wide variety of styles. I will be on time, dress well, and interact well with your crowd.
About
I am a professional musician who has worked on several major
Cruise Lines.I hold a music degree in performance and I have played all
styles of music on many types of percussion instruments.
I specialize in playing solo steel drum along with accompaniment
background music.I am best suited for any event in which the sound of the
caribbean is needed, but the volume needs to stay moderate, or budget does
not allow a full steel (link hidden) addition to Cruise Lines, I have worked private
functions, lounges, and any gathering in which the sound of the Caribbean is
desired.
