OG Violin

Our cello/violin duo was amazing and completely amenable to our odd playlist requests. Everyone was blown away and they really set the tone for our party. Would definitely rebook.

OG Violin provided beautiful music and a fabulous atmosphere for our event. She is nice, prompt, and an excellent addition to your event.

I was looking for a violinist to play for the ceremony only on my wedding day and came across Oksana’s name. From the very first email she was so wonderful to work with. She communicated her pricing upfront and it was straightforward and reasonable.
One thing that really impressed me is how quickly she got back to me anytime I had a question.
She also was very flexible to work with another musician we had playing the organ and was very communicative with him.
The music itself was ethereal and beautiful. I will never forget how it felt walking down the aisle and that is in no small part because of how perfect the violin was in that moment. She is truly one of a kind and I am so, so glad we hired her.

I’m conflicted writing this review because ultimately, everything worked out and the violinist who performed at our wedding was wonderful. However, the process leading up to our wedding caused me a significant amount of unnecessary stress.

About three weeks before our wedding, our original violinist, Oksana, let us know that she was no longer available to perform and arranged for a substitute. While I appreciated that she found someone to take her place, communication throughout the process felt very lacking in urgency considering how close we were to the wedding.

A week before the wedding, I reached out to the substitute myself just to make sure everything was set. She didn’t reply until 4 days later, with only 3 days until the wedding. During that conversation, I discovered that she had not been told that our ceremony required backing tracks and therefore was unable to perform. This was incredibly stressful to find out only three days before our wedding, and I honestly don’t know when the issue would have been discovered had I not reached out myself.

Our original violinist then arranged for another replacement, and thankfully, the third violinist was wonderful, responsive, prepared, and did a beautiful job at our ceremony. I’m very grateful that a solution was ultimately found and that our ceremony music turned out beautifully. I recommend Jade Wesley to any and everyone she is incredible.

I was also surprised to see on social media on the day of our wedding that our original violinist appeared to be performing at another wedding that day, after I had been told she was unavailable for ours. I don’t know the circumstances surrounding that, but given everything that had happened with the replacements, it added to my disappointment with the experience.

I completely understand that unexpected circumstances happen and that vendors sometimes need substitutes. However, as a bride in the final weeks and days before my wedding, I wish there had been much more proactive communication, urgency, and confirmation that the replacement had all of the necessary information. Ultimately everything worked out beautifully, but getting there caused stress that I don’t feel should have fallen on me to manage.
