Overview

I am a classical singer, theater artist, improvisor, educator, and creative director specializing in collaborating with other artists, and creating special events. I have extensive experience in performing throughout the United States and Europe in everything from house concerts, to memorials, to circus, to parties, to weddings, to gallery openings and more.

There is always a way to integrate the human voice into an event! I would be happy to create:
1) A participatory vocal experience
2) An original event-specific performance
3) A series of short absurd happenings
4) A concert of vocal works

What to expect

I can slide into a pre-existing program as a classical soprano, and I can also create something more custom for the event at hand. I have extensive experience in collaborating, and can easily fit into many different kinds of roles (initiator/supporter/interpreter/director).

Contact me and I will find a way to support your project with my unique skillset and sensitivity to event dynamics.

About

I am a classical singer, improviser, voice teacher, song maker, and theater artist. I was born in Ecuador to a mixed Iranian-American family, was raised in New Mexico, and have lived, studied, and worked across the US and Europe. I explore the many intersections of concert music, ritual, and theatrical performance with a special interest in collaboration and extended vocal techniques. I also teach singing, am a music director for theater, a stage director for musicians, and an experience designer for private and public events.

Additional booking notes

I don't need anything in classical music settings.

If the room requires amplification, or I will sing in a non-classical style, then I need a PA system, a vocal mic, and potentially a monitoring system.
