Whether you want live singing, acting, or simple meet & greets, you can expect top notch entertainment services when you book with Not Your Average Characters. We offer certain standard services, but we also consult with our clients and try to accommodate any specific requests in order to help you realize your vision.

Please note that the length of time our actors are available (i.e., an hour long appearance vs a multiple hour appearance) depends on the character requested, the venue, and weather conditions (if the event is outdoors).

General character services include (but are not limited to):

Non-character services include live singing and acoustic music as well as theatrical Broadway-style performances. We have several professional singers on staff who can perform requested (or self-curated) showtunes and/or a cabaret-style musical revue.

The Ice Queen

Kryptonian Hero
Specialties: Party games, story time
A discount will apply when you book the Kryptonian Hero with his best friend, the Hero Dog, and/or the Amazonian Heroine.

Hero Dog
A 5-year old goldendoodle portrays the Kryptonian Hero's best friend. She is friendly and wonderful with kids, and even has acting credits of her own as Sandy in a Massachusetts production of Annie. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations available upon request.

Amazonian Heroine
Specialties: Party games, story time
A discount will apply when you book the Amazonian Heroine with the Kryptonian Hero.

Mystery Squad
At the moment, our Mystery Squad is limited to the Bespectacled Detective and Fashionista Detective. You can book one or any combination of these characters; the more you book, the more of a discount applies. We are expanding to get the entire squad soon- keep an eye out for updates!

The Salem Sisters
As seen at Southwick's Zoo's Halloween performances and on Massachusetts TV station Fox25! You can book one, two, or all three of the sisters; the more you book, the more of a discount applies.
Specialties: Live singing, scripted performances and re-enactments.

Alderaan Space Princess
A discount applies when booked alongside a Jedi.

Jedi
Specialties: Jedi training and certification. A discount applies when booked alongside Alderaan Space Princess or Shock Trooper Rebel Heroine.

Shock Trooper Rebel Heroine
A discount applies when booked alongside a Jedi.

Mysterious & Spooky Couple
This iconic duo is more suited for adult-oriented events, but will appear for gatherings of all ages.

Blondie Doll (Movie Based)
A discount applies when booked with I'm Just Guy Doll.

I'm Just Guy Doll (Movie Based)
A discount applies when booked with Blondie Doll.

90s Warrior Princess
Though she has many skills, our 90s Warrior Princess is more suited for adult-oriented events, but will appear for gatherings of all ages.

Green Christmas Grouch
Specialties: Cameo videos, party games, scripted performances

Asgardian Goddess of Death
She is a villain best suited for adult-oriented events, is more suited for adult-oriented events, but will appear for gatherings of all ages. A discount will be applied when booked with our other blockbuster superhero villain, the Talokan Mariner King.

Talokan Mariner King
He is a villain best suited for adult-oriented events, but will appear for gatherings of all ages. A discount will be applied when booked with our other blockbuster superhero villain, the Asgardian Goddess of Death.

Charmed Future-Seeing Uncle
We don't really talk about him, but know that we're working on getting the rest of his enchanted family with specialties like live singing, dancing, and party games.

Pirates
Original pirate characters for any nautical-themed event.

Not Your Average Characters was started with the knowledge that while yes, certain characters will always be mainstays of children's parties and meet-and-greets, other characters deserve their day in the sun. Matt and Cass, two professional actors with a passion for entertainment, are dedicated to running the gamut of pop culture icons so that no matter the theme of your next event, they'll have something at the ready to make it special and unforgettable.

**ADVANCED WARNING MUST BE GIVEN IF PARTIES ARE OUTSIDE. MAKE UP DATES ARE NOT ALWAYS AVAILABLE OR GUARANTEED IF PARTY IS CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS. IF CONSIDERING HAVING AN OUTDOOR EVENT, MAKE SURE A BACKUP INDOOR SETTING IS AVAILABLE IF POSSIBLE.**

IF TEMPORARY TATTOOS are utilized during the hour or 90 minutes, I might be in need of a CUP OF WATER and some PAPER TOWELS.

We own a Bluetooth karaoke and stereo system that we use for vocal performances, but we can use your sound equipment if you would prefer. If booking a live acoustic performance, please let us know in advance if we need to bring our own amplifier and PA system or if you have your own music-specific amplifier and PA that we can use.

Lightsaber training for 15 kids requires a decent amount of space to avoid injuries, so party space is something to keep in mind when conducting a group training session. If the space is indoor and limited, I am able to train kids in mini groups.
