I contacted Ed and his North Beach Brass Band to perform a jazz funeral for my dad. Ed was kind, and flexible, and he helped make the vision of my dad's memorial a reality. The band performed perfectly. The procession couldn't have gone better. They brought joy to a difficult day for me. I highly recommend them.
Ed and the rest of North Beach Brass Band were just amazing. They were super accommodating to our needs, showed up early, were incredibly nice and personable, and really added something special to our event. Not to mention they had by far the best rates. I cannot wait for another opportunity to have them play for us.
This wonderful band was so flexible and responsive and even helped in our planning by recommending the best spot for a pop-up band surprise on our wedding day. They are very experienced and friendly. Great value, too! Our guests loved the surprise and the great music. We even ended up having our first dance spontaneously right there on the sidewalk, inspired by their fabulous tunes, and by the end strangers had gathered and all our guests were dancing, too. It elevated our wedding celebration. Recommend 100%! 👌🏻
80th Birthday and everyone is still talking about how great the band played during the evening,
Response from North Beach Brass Band:
Thanks very much, Rosalyn, the band really enjoyed the birthday party. We appreciate it!
North Beach Brass Band is an outstanding band. Did a great job everyone danced and deeply enjoyed themselves. Amazing band. Book them and you will not be disappointed. They know just what to do and how to do it!
We had these guys play at our 10 year wedding anniversary up in Navada City, CA which worked out perfectly. Ed was very professional and easy to work with as we organized the event. Totally recommend them
Ed Ivey and the North Beach Brass Band are some extremely talented musicians. We had a New Orleans themed wedding, and this band brought it to life. Not to mention, Ed is such a cool person to work with. He brings such great vibes and friendliness to the event. He was always responsive and professional. We're now sincere fans of their music (they have more than one band) and we will be checking out some of their gigs in the near future! Thanks guys!
I hired North Beach Brass band for my wedding last fall. It was a challenging environment, on a boat, and it was raining! But they were able to wing it beautifully and made the day so special with their fantastic music. So fun and happy and upbeat. In fact friends hired them for a birthday party the following weekend they liked them so much. Ed was very responsive while we were planning, he always emailed or called back quickly. I would recommend them for any event that you want a fun, upbeat vibe!
our team loved North Beach Brass and they added a great vibe to our holiday party. Highly recommend!
Response from North Beach Brass Band:
Thanks very much, Deanna and team, we loved the venue and had a great time. I think we created a few more brass band fans for sure!
What to Expect
Brass bands are the most versatile act you can add to your event. North Beach Brass Band can play totally "unplugged" for pre-ceremony music, or make a splashy surprise entrance at a party. Want to march your wedding guests from altar to cocktails? No one can resist a parade!
For dancing, North Beach Brass Band is the perfect antidote to boring cover band. We do reworked versions of classic rock songs in the brass band style, sing dozens of New Orleans anthems, and the brass band converts into to a full-strength soul / Motown act with addition of electric guitar and lead singers.
