North beach band went above and beyond for my dads memorial service. They were early and stayed even longer than I thought. They were so easy to work with and everyone loved them. I can’t wait to hire them again for a fun occasion

Dear Jennifer, thank you so much for your kind review. Your celebration of your father's life was a fine tribute to all the things he meant to all of you. Thank you for making us a part of your special afternoon.

What to expect
Brass bands are the most versatile act you can add to your event. North Beach Brass Band can play totally "unplugged" for pre-ceremony music, or make a splashy surprise entrance at a party. Want to march your wedding guests from altar to cocktails? No one can resist a parade!
For dancing, North Beach Brass Band is the perfect antidote to boring cover band. We do reworked versions of classic rock songs in the brass band style, sing dozens of New Orleans anthems, and the brass band converts into to a full-strength soul / Motown act with addition of electric guitar and lead singers.
About
San Francisco's homegrown North Beach Brass Band is a traditional
brass band playing early New Orleans jazz, iconic show tunes and
electrified funk and wry reworkings of popular pop songs.
Founded by tuba man Ed Ivey, the band's lineup consists of sax, trumpet,
trombone, tuba, bass drum, snare drum and often guitar and piano. NBBB
celebrates the Big Easy sound with an array of straight-up brass band
classics in the spirit of Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, Dr.
John, The Meters
and Kid Ory.
This versatile group of San Francisco's best brass players do it all, from
Louis Armstrong's favorites to danceable versions of great hits from
artists like James Brown, War, Hugh Masakela, The Meters, Jobim, Miles Davis and dozens more.
Additional booking notes
North Beach Brass Band is a self-contained unit traditionally composed of trumpet, trombone, saxophone, tuba and the traditional New Orleans two-man drum corps of bass drum and snare drum.
The band can play all-acoustic with no audio system or electricity needed or we can bring a complete audio system.
NBBB is comfortable playing in any space including outside events.
