Overview

Add a touch of elegance and sophistication to your event by having Noah Trautman play for you! I have been playing piano for a little over 15 years now, 8 of those years being a professional pianist. I play for pretty much any event, but I specialize in providing calming, yet enchanting background ambient music. I play mostly instrumental music and song covers, and I've got an 88-key hammer action digital piano that was inspired by and designed after a real Grand Piano that I can bring for venues that don’t have a piano. The keyboard is a Williams Allegro III, and it sounds and performs phenomenal with great speakers built in, which won't require amplification if the venue is small enough.

What to expect

As a pianist, I like to play soft instrumental music that fits the atmosphere well. When it comes to event performances, such as weddings, I play soft chord progressions with beautiful rhythms that fill the air. For slower or emotional moments, I often like to layer a soft string pad to add that missing element to your special moment. For faster, more upbeat moods, I like to stick to the grand piano with a cheery, happy rhythm.

I can do song covers upon request. I can sing, however, my singing voice is best trained for religious and country music however I like doing other genres as well! If you are requesting a couple of songs, please allow a week to ensure I have the time needed to learn the songs to perform them well. I also cover some instrumental songs, such as Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen and Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis.

About

Hello! I’m Noah Trautman, an accomplished event pianist with over a decade of experience. My journey began at the age of 10 in 2010 when I first picked up the piano as an elective in elementary school, driven by a passion for music. That same year, I made my debut performance at the school talent show—a nerve-wracking yet exhilarating experience that confirmed my dedication to music.

Following my elementary graduation in 2011, I took a break from playing until 2013, when my band teacher introduced us to the piano keyboard layout during class. That sparked my enthusiasm once again, and I returned to the piano with renewed vigor. The following year, I joined my local church's youth worship team, where I had the privilege of learning chord progressions and playing almost every other Sunday. This experience enriched my skills and prepared me for various church-related events, including weddings, funerals, youth conferences, church dinners, and youth camps. I served in this capacity from 2014 until 2020, shortly after relocating to Colorado.

After my move, I expanded my repertoire by performing at bar concerts and weddings. Encouraged by my family, I recently embraced a full-time career as an event pianist. I am eager to contribute to individuals’ special moments and elevate their events through music.

In addition to playing, I often enjoy singing along, using a microphone paired with my digital piano for select songs. While singing is a passion of mine, I recognize that it’s an area for improvement, so I am pursuing vocal training. Meanwhile, I've also started offering fully instrumental renditions of my cover songs, allowing the melodies and lyrics to shine beautifully, with my left hand providing the chords and rhythms.

I look forward to bringing joy and unforgettable moments to your next event!

Additional booking notes

My Rates:
Events in the $400 ballpark: piano provided by the venue, 30 - 90 minutes of rich, elegant music that fills the air, within the city limits of Fort Collins, non-wedding, non-corporate events, weekends only (Fridays - Sundays)
**$100 non-refundable deposit required upon booking

Events in the $1200 ballpark: piano provided by the venue OR performer brings their own equipment, 2 plus hours of rich, elegant music that fills the air, weddings (ceremony and reception), corporate or business events, private events, weekends only (Fridays - Sundays), and last-minute booking.
**$250 non-refundable deposit required upon booking

Events in the $2000 ballpark: performer MUST bring their own equipment, weddings (ceremony, reception, cocktail hour), High Country or Out of State (not in Colorado), any day of the week, and last-minute booking.
**$500 non-refundable deposit required upon booking

**Please note that rates are very much negotiable, as no two events are the same! Please reach out to me to discuss a rate that works well with your budget**

What factors determine my final rate?
- There are several factors that I consider when choosing my rate. Anytime I play for an event, a lot goes on in the background, ensuring a smooth, successful live show. These factors include, but are not limited to, travel distance (miles to and from the venue), equipment used or requested, and the 15-plus years of experience I have. It also factors in events that are last-minute. I want to ensure that I find a rate that works best for the host and me. I have been playing piano for several different types of events, such as weddings, churches, birthday parties, and other concerts, since 2014.

Why is there a service deposit?
- To secure your event performance date, a non-refundable deposit ranging from $100 to $500 will be required, based on the total amount due. In the event that the client decides to cancel or reschedule, this deposit will be retained by the pianist. Furthermore, if cancellation occurs within five days of the scheduled performance, the entire remaining balance will also be owed. This policy is in place to protect the pianist from potential financial losses associated with event preparations or performance commitments, particularly in instances of cancellation or rescheduling.

As for equipment, I do have professional lighting, a hammer-action 88-key digital piano designed after a Grand Piano with amazing speakers, and a microphone.
Digital Piano
- Williams Allegro III
Microphone
- Shure SM-48
Professional Lighting
- ADJ RGBW4C with 4 adjustable light pods

If I do need to bring my equipment, I would need anywhere from a 5x5 space to a 10x10 space.

I CAN do outdoor events, however, I do require you to have a backup plan for an inside event in case of inclement weather conditions. For my safety, the safety of the client, and the safety of the guests at the event, I will not play outside during wet conditions. This also prolongs the life of my equipment.

Influences and inspiration

I have several influences that have helped me shape my style of music on the piano. My musical influences include, but are not limited to: Anthem Lights, Home Free, Jonny May, and The Kiffness.

Setup requirements

Sound system preferred, however I can provide equipment as needed!

If the venue has a piano available for me to use, it needs to be at least decently tuned to ensure a good sounding performance

If the venue does NOT have a piano, I can provide rental of my Williams Allegro III Digital Piano and Shure SM-48 Microphone

I have professional stage lighting that I can also provide upon request. The light system is an ADJ RGBW4C with 4 light pods
