April 25, 2022We were happy to have Nitrix as a host and performer at our event. They were very accommodating and overall a blast to be around. A lot of the students were feeling shy at first but Nitrix really brought their spirits up, it ended up being a really enjoyable night. We hope to have them again in the future!

Nitrix Oxide (they/them) is a drag performer, host, and producer in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 7 years. They currently perform in resident shows they produce at The Edge and Moby Dick in the Castro, El Rio and Knockout in the Mission, and Driftwood in SOMA.
Nitrix is well versed in the Horror/Halloween space. They have produced a viewing party called Bloodbath for the last 5 years for the AMC+/Shudder show The Boulet Brother's Dragula, bringing over 15 contestants from the series to San Francisco.
Nitrix has traveled and performed in Austin, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Oakland, and San Jose. They have performed at Austin International Drag Festival in Austin, TX from (phone number hidden)3 and Oaklash Bay Area Drag Festival in Oakland, CA in 2019 and 2024. They were also part of the Bushwig Festival in Brooklyn, NY in 2020 during an online showcase.
Nitrix has appeared with drag legend Peaches Christ and Into the Dark productions in a theater/haunted house experience Terror Vault in 2019 at The Mint in Downtown San Francisco. They have also appeared in the "Let's Have a Shakespearean Kiki" video with RuPaul Drag Race's Finalist Lady Camden from Season 14. Nitrix was also featured in the HBO Max documentary "Long Live Montero" about artist Lil Nas X.
Nitrix Oxide is currently an ambassador for their city of San Francisco for Drag Out the Vote, a national organization that encourages young voters to register and vote locally and nationally.

I base my drag character on legends like Divine (John Waters films), Boy George, and Leigh Bowery (London nightlife personality). Greatly inspired by pop art and 80s rock n' roll. The music I lip sync to includes rock n' roll, punk, Broadway musicals, and more! I'm also heavily inspired by nerd culture, I love to cosplay, including Disney and Pokemon characters. Great for Halloween events as well!
