What to expect
We're a 4-piece rock band (sometimes 5, if we get our saxophonist). We play a blend of originals and some covers, it's very upbeat and energetic. There's a lot of crowd involvement.
If you like high-energy music with powerful singing and ripping guitar, then we're probably for you. We do slow it down at times, but it's a rock show. Picture yourself at woodstock, but in modern times with a new blend of music.
I'm a performer in the true sense, I can really understand where a crowd is at and really involve them into a performance -- I can't actually force people to have fun at our shows, but I can make it very appealing!!
My backing band is the supporting act for my original music, but they are just as much apart of the performance as well -- our lineup is solid! We have a lot of fun on stage.
About
Nikko & The Night Shift
Original Rock, Soul & Blues
Being original takes guts, I'd always hear people say "be yourself," but what is that exactly? I think it's a feeling in your soul that tells you which way to go. My music is meant to convey that feeling - that my listener will hear their own spirit.
I've performed on many stages in WA including: Seattle Hempfest, Taste of Tacoma, Live at London Bridge Studios, Spanish Ballroom, Jazzbones, The Crocodile, Capitol Lakefair - My performances are all uniquely exciting and energetic.
My official backing band (self-dubbed) goes by, "The Night Shift." Our lineup consists of local legend, Hans Salnave on the Bass, Brian Lind on the Drums, Marcus Sebastian on Saxophone, and my father Frank Pisciotti on the keys.
After my last band quit, I really found out who I was. I realized how I was just out to get approval -- now I had to do the real thing and be authentic. That was scary. I holed up and recorded Interstellar, a 6-song EP recorded at my own studio. I performed every instrument on the CD (except the sax on Stay Clear). I have to admit though, it turned out brilliant. I think it really shows on Still Hear It Calling and the title track, Interstellar.
Nothing short of amazing things have happened to me since then and I'm so honored by the people I'm working with and their contribution, it's really outta sight!
I'm currently working on my second album, "Breakthrough" which is slated for end of 2025. We also have a series of live studio-recordings that will be released on Youtube that are coming Spring 2025
I also have a beautiful daughter who is coming in May this year. Taylor and I are very excited and honestly freaked out all at once!
Expect awesome things from me, I'm just getting started!
