Nick Passey is a Folk singer-songwriter that has been passionately dedicated to the craft of music for most of his life. Born into a family with generations of musicians he was introduced to music at a very young age by his mother, who was a voice teacher, giving him vocal lessons shortly after he began to form words. Starting his first band at the age of 14, Passey began as the lead singer but inevitably merged as the guitarist as well since no one else knew how to play. He is consistently creating new music that indulges in the struggles of everyday life through a therapeutic, matter-of-fact outlook.
Nick Passey is a genuinely awesome human which makes it all the easier to work with him and his band(s). He is very professional, timely and just sincerely entertaining. He handles promotion for shows in the way I wished all artists did. I could keep going but I think I have made my point.
Nick really took into consideration what we needed for the event and was highly collaborative. He was very professional and absolutely reliable. I will definitely be using Nick for other events. I highly recommend Mr Passey!
Nick has played at my establishment dozens of times, always happy to have him come draw in a crowd!
Nick Passey is a talented SLC musician and we're always happy to book him over and over again!
I have seen Nick perform many times and hired him several times for a sandwich shop and brewery where I book. He writes good songs and plays nice interpretations of covers. He performs at a volume that is right for the room, and is very easygoing and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to book him again.
I’ve been booking Nick over the past 3 yrs and he has quickly become one of our favorite acts. Always punctual and sincere. You can tell he loves to play music and he showcases his talents whether Wes playing for 5 people or 500. Highly recommended!
Year after year we invite Nick back to perform at our SLC VegFest. Nick appeals to a wide audience and puts on a show that people love, and he is by far the most pleasant artist to work with that we've booked. He comes prepared and on time, and he's great a communication leading up to the event. He's reliable, fun and talented - everything perfect for festivals and other events!
I have booked Nick Passey multiple times, with intention to book him again. He puts on a wonderful show, interacts with the audience members graciously, and always shows up early. I’d highly recommend hiring Nick to add something special to whatever event or get-together you’re planning.
Whether playing songs that you know by heart or originals that come from the heart, Nick Passey will always bring his best. As owner of 2 bars I am always pleased trusting my night with Nick and look forward to the next time he will be playing.
Nick Passey has been performing at Made in Utah Festival since 2016.
Nick is an exceptionally talented musician, folk singer, and songwriter. His performances enriched our events and helped us strengthen connections within the community. Many of our participants can identify with his lyrics.
From the organizer point of view, Nick is great to work with. And we hope that we will continue to work together in the future.
Nick Passey performed a small set for a company event. He played a mixture of covers and original songs. People seemed to enjoy the set, as the feedback provided was very positive. Nick was professional and performed for the agreed upon amount of time.
I have worked with nick for years now on his solo project, Nick Passey and the Perpetual Sadness as well as Folk Hogan for 5 different venues across the Wasatch Front. In every instance it's nothing but a positive experience. He is timely, a good promoter, and knowledgeable about sound. He always meets or exceeds terms of the event, and in every incarnation performs music that is great and exhibits talent, and uniqueness. Always a good call for booking. He brings a freshness and newness that's hard to come by in such a widely likable format.
I booked Nick for the Ogden Arts Festival, and he and Kaytlin put on a great performance, that was fun, and at a very high quality. Professional sound, and an enjoyable performance, and his communication was great thru the process.
I hired Nick to play a cocktail hour with me at a wedding in Park City. From rehearsal to performance, everything was awesome. Guests even commented that they thought it was the radio playing because it sounded so good. Definitely recommend.
I have booked Nick Passey for multiple gigs in Ogden, UT and he has always exceeded my expectations. He is very personable and has fantastic stage presence. His music ranges from fun and lively to down-beat with a good message, but is always backed by his great sense of humor. 10/10 will book again.

This initial do-it-yourself attitude on facing roadblocks has catapulted Passey into the musician he is today. With his last album released in 2017, Passey has been hard at work developing his next two albums. He is consistently creating new music that indulges in the struggles of everyday life through a therapeutic, matter-of-fact outlook. As an entertainer, Passey is able to connect to audiences with his humorous and heavy-hearted approach to life’s trials. Regardless of your mood, Passey’s live performances will have you swaying and singing along to the catchy choruses and relatable lyrics.
