Overview
As a Spoken Word artist, I perform Spoken Word in any setting including weddings, birthdays, dinner parties, graduation celebrations, and other events. If there is a theme for the event, I can cater my pieces accordingly to what ever is needed for the event. My subject matter includes love, politics, and I specialize in inspirational pieces.
I host events including open mics, musical and spoken word performances, and parties. I'm a non scripted comedian at heart, so I love to entertain a crowd and keep them laughing while sticking to the line up for the event I'm hosting. As a host, my responsibility is to make everyone feel comfortable and included while keeping the show moving.

I had the pleasure of booking Nfared for the Howard University Bison On The Lake (150th Anniversary Celebration) at the Ritz Carlton on Lake Oconee. This was our inaugural event and we decided to create a Jazz/Spoken Word Chill Suite.
As with any event, we knew what we wanted from the event; and could only pray that the results were favorable. Prayers were answered. The event was a success and the talented Nfared was outstanding as he entertained the guests with his thought provoking poems and spoken word. He was energetic in presence and calming in delivery. His presentation was on point and he had the crowd in the palm of his hand.
So if you are considering Nfared: Spoken Word Artist and Host for an event…you will be satisfied. He delivered above expectations.

About
Alfred "Nfared" Vines is a 14 year Spoken Word artist and host from the Atlanta. Having performed across the southeast region, he has won several awards, slams, and has made countless television and radio appearances including VH1 and MTV, V-103, and Be100 Radio. His fiery and passionate performances leave audiences transfixed. "I want to inspire people. I want people to know that they are not going through their situations alone. People need to know that someone out there relates to their struggles.. as well as their joys."
Nfared discovered his love for Spoken Word in college after having traveled to Knoxville 2000. The trip was planned, but the open mic he attended while there was not. "I believe you meet people, and you go places for a reason". Arriving back to Atlanta from Knoxville, he immediately began writing and performing at open mics in the city, and competing in Spoken Word Slams. Oddly enough, since his very first performance, he has not spoken to the young lady he went to Knoxville with, nor anyone he met while he was there. "Those few days really changed my life, and it's all been for the better."
Nfared is known for pieces including the historically based, "Where Is My Reciept?", "Let's Be Honest", "The Flight Patterns Of Chocolate", and "Double Dutch".
Spoken Word has taken Nfared to North and South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and Texas. "I am very passionate about what I do, and I am grateful when I am able to share my gift to people everywhere. I have an innate desire to inspire people, and that is what drives me to perform."
Moving forward in his craft, Nfared is now expanding to voice over and acting work, having recently appeared in "Soundtrack Covered In Black", a stage play that focuses on domestic violence.
"You think when you get good, when you can grab an audience's attention, you've got it, but that's not the end of the road.." Nfared says. "As an artist I've learned that you have to keep learning and growing in your craft. You can always be better".
