Based in the Bay Area, this jazz collaboration pairs the soulful artistry of Ephraim Getahun, a nationally touring vocalist, composer, and producer known as Hugo de la Lune, with the refined musicianship of Nate, a Masters level jazz guitarist from California State University. Ephraim’s emotive vocal style and charismatic stage presence meet Nate’s technical mastery and expressive guitar work to create performances that are warm, intimate, and polished.

Their musical partnership grew from a shared belief that great performances should feel personal, connected, and alive in the moment. Together, they bring a rich repertoire that moves seamlessly from timeless jazz standards to soulful contemporary selections. Their versatility has taken them from sunlit garden ceremonies to high profile corporate galas, always tailoring their sound and setlist to the unique atmosphere of each event.

With experience spanning national tours, festival stages, and private events, this duo knows how to strike the right chord whether it is the quiet romance of a ballad, the joy of a swing tune, or the energy of a dance floor transition. In addition to live jazz performances, they offer professional hosting and MC services, DJs, and specialty acts such as drag performers, providing clients with a curated, start to finish entertainment experience.

From the first conversation to the final note, Ephraim and Nate focus on understanding the vision, flow, and feel their clients want to create. Performance Length: Standard sets are 45–60 minutes with short breaks between sets. We can provide up to three hours of live music, including ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception coverage.

Sound Requirements: We can provide our own sound system for small to medium venues. For large venues, outdoor spaces, or events over 150 guests, we may require a professional house PA system.

Lighting: We do not require special lighting, but warm ambient or stage lighting is recommended for the best guest experience.

Staging: Minimum performance space of 8x8 feet for the duo. Additional space is required if adding DJ, drag performers, or other specialty acts.

Setup Time: We typically require 60–90 minutes for setup and soundcheck before guest arrival.

Power: Access to at least one grounded 120V power outlet within 25 feet of the performance area.

Travel: Based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Travel fees may apply for events outside the immediate area.

Custom Packages: Available to include MC services, DJs, drag performers, and other curated entertainment options.
