Great for integration with the study of Native Americans in a school setting. Terry has been hoop dancing for 50 years.. In my school assemblies I include the topics of saying no to Bullying, Drug Prevention, Career Building, Dance, Health & Fitness, History, Learning Skills, Life Skills, Math, Motivational, Multicultural, Music, PBIS and Storytelling. Terra was excellent! She performed at a healthcare conference I planned, and she did a wonderful job connecting the history and symbolism of the hoop dance to the themes of our conference. Her performance was beautiful and captivated the audience of 200+ people. Thank you!!

We have used Terry multiple times and he never disappoints. He shares his story of the hoop dance and how it has shaped his life. Terry is able to hold and audience with his storytelling and life experiences. The favorite part is when he lets the audience participate and learn some hoop dance moves. I would recommend Terry for you next event.

About
My name is Terry L Goedel. I'm a Yakama/Tulalip Indian originally from Washington State. I currently am a 7th grade math teacher in Southern California. I have a bachelor's degree, and a master's degree in Education Administration. I feel that students learn better with a hands on approach. I let the students come up on stage and experience the dance for themselves. I have been hoop dancing for the past 43 years. I am the 2015 Heard Museum World Hoop dance champion in the senior division. I have danced for 3 president's of the United States, the Queen of Denmark, in the 2002 winter olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. I dance at assemblies, festivals, pow wows and other events throughout the state of California, and around the country. I continue to help others learn the hoop dance with hoop dance through workshops for people of all ages. I have worked with colleges, universities, high schools, junior highs, elementary and preschool students. I have been dancing with the Ramona pageant for the past 20 years, the oldest out door pageant in the United States.
