Nathaniel Lease

When you hire me, I will arrive early and warmed up to all gigs, and If for any reason I will be late, I would let you know far in advance. I come to every rehearsal and performance prepared. I am easy to get along with and can adapt to change quickly. If I play something and you would like it a different way, I can make the switch immediately.

Nathaniel Lease is a freelance trombonist and teacher in the Central Pennsylvania and Maryland Areas. He is a member of the Patriot Brass Ensemble, and is currently Instructor of Brass at Hagerstown Community College. He has also had the pleasure of performing with the Atlantic Brass Band, Chesapeake Brass Band, Hagerstown Municipal Band, Williamsport Community Band, and University of Pennsylvania Symphony and Chamber Orchestras.
In addition to his duties at HCC, Nate is also on faculty as a substitute teacher at the Nelly Berman School of Music in Haverford, PA. Nate has had teaching experiences both privately and in the classroom, teaching everything from High School band to Merit lessons while finishing his degree at the University of Delaware.
Nate has been able to play with and for many notable conductors, composers, and performers, including Deborah Hanson, Daniel French, Robert Litton, Todd Goodman, Johan de Meij, Joseph Alessi, Bruce Yurko and Dana Wilson. Nate has also been featured with the University of Delaware Trombone Choir on their 2017 American Trombone Workshop Performance.
Nate received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Music Degree in Trombone Performance from the University of Delaware. His primary teachers include Dr. Bruce Tychinski, Dr. Christian Dickinson and Noel Kunkle.
