Nathan Shimon, Cellist
Overview
Hi there! My name is Nathan Shimon, and I've been playing the cello for around 14 years now. I've performed with two youth symphonies, including as principal cellist of the Youth Orchestra in the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras, and have recently graduated from Luther College with a BA in Cello Performance. I'm on Gigsalad to earn a few extra bucks for graduate school, and I'd love to help make your event memorable!

Nathan was a great addition to our wedding! I played cello as a kid so it meant a lot to me to have a cello player there! Nathan was super easy to work with a really set the tone for the wedding! He played what we requested and then added his own songs as well. We can’t thank you enough!

Nathan is not only extremely talented, he is a top notch professional. We loved having him for our wedding ceremony. He set the tone for the start of a special day and I’m so happy to have found him. Booking was easy and I highly recommend!

February 12, 2026Excellent Performance - Would hire again
We hired Nathan to play at our candlelight vigil. He was just what we needed, was timely, very friendly, and played great. He had a selection of songs we could choose from and they all fit the tone of the event. The ones we ended up selecting were great. Would book again!
