June 27, 2023My wife had the wonderful idea to get a band to play at my mother's 80th birthday party, and with mild trepidation I agreed. Would my mother enjoy this? Would we be able to find a band that would be interested in playing some of my mother's favorites from Barbra Streisand, Carly Simon, Linda Ronstadt, and more? I needn't have worried. I got goosebumps when Natasha performed Roberta Flack's rendition of Killing me Softly. And I felt James Bond in the room with us when she straight owned Carly Simon's Nobody Does It Better. And I would be remiss if I did not mention that it was not an afternoon of only covers. We loved their original music too. Natasha and Steve are stars. And my mother is still talking about the experience, telling everyone that she had the best birthday surprise ever. Thank you Natasha and Steve for spending the afternoon with us and giving us such an exceptional performance.
