September 20, 2024As the General Manager of a brewery, we have booked My So Called Band many times. Out of the 60+ shows we do annually, I can confidently say that this band is one of the very best. Not just because their musicianship and set lists are phenomenal ... but also because they are incredibly nice guys, completely self-sufficient, and easy to work with. If you are up for a good time with some great music ... My So Called Band is for you!

I found Hooman & the band for our summer concert series. They were perfect - so good in fact that they are the only repeat band coming back this year.
From the first conversation Hooman leaves you feeling stoked and excited. He is wicked fast at responding, super professional, easy to work with. No drama, no egos.
So I loved them even before I had seen the show - the show took it to another level. They rocked! High energy, fun, had everyone laughing and dancing! He checked in with me prior to the show to check on some songs that are classic 90's but have some cusswords, which I thought was super respectful.
We had little kids head banging to nirvana, then parents in the back singing their heads off. Smiles were contagious.

May 31, 2024These guy play at our brewery and always rock the house. They keep the dance floor full and we always have a great night of sales when they are here. In addition to all of our regulars that love this band, they have a big following that comes them here in Suisun. They are one of a few bands that actually bring in their own group of followers. They are on the schedule to come back. Come check them out at True Symmetry Brewing or anywhere else they are playing. It’s always a fun night with these guys. Killer playlist

We can provide up to 4 hours of entertainment - roughly 3.5 hours of music with two 20 minute breaks. We can engage with the crowd as much or as little as needed, giving shout outs, doing announcements, and can even do some 90s trivia!
My So-Called Band has been gigging around the SF Bay Area for over 2 years now, playing bars, outdoor festivals, and private parties and events. We are a 5-piece rock band covering all genres of music from the 90s. Focusing on mainly rock and grunge from the era, we also translate pop and hip-hop into rock renditions, getting crowds dancing and singing along. We have played most music bars in the East Bay, and we are looking to branch out to do more private events and festivals. If you are looking for a talented, high-energy rock band for your next party, wedding, or corporate event, we can keep your guests entertained for up to 4 hours.
We come complete with all instruments and equipment, including amps, a mixer, PA system, and monitors. We are fully capable of doing our own sound but it's always preferred to have a house sound setup with a dedicated sound engineer. We need about 2 hours for load in, set up and sound check, and another hour after the show for take down and load out.
