Let me tell you that this man absolutely made our cocktail hour. Reception employees were saying what a party it was. This guy is an absolute talent came professionally dressed, played flawlessly, and is so genuine and humble. There isn't a person better who could have performed at my wedding. I cant stress enough how good this man was. I have very high expectations and am quite detail focused. Hire this man any chance you get. He was setup before I arrived playing on time and needed no direction.

Last summer my husband and I got married. We wanted a truly unique experience that describes who we are and so we had our wedding at a historic warehouse. We knew we just didn't want typical djs and couldn't afford a 10 piece band. We also wanted to blend my Caribbean Trini heritage with his Salvadorean heritage. We knew the best way to blend our differing cultures was to hire a talented steel pan player that can play everything. We did A LOT of research for players in and around NYC and received a lot of quotes. Mustafa was the first quote we received. He was quick to respond and within minutes of contacting him, he answered all of our many questions right away. The quote he provided us was by far the most affordable and best deal for the amount of time we needed him. He proved to be incredibly efficient, professional and beyond talented. We used Mustafa's talents for our wedding ceremony where he ONLY played classical music and wedding songs like (Ave Maria and the Wedding March and so on) and for our cocktail hour where he brought such great energy and happiness to our wedding guests. He was able to play classic Spanish and Caribbean songs setting the tone for the festivities to come. He made our wedding memorable and brought a level of sophistication and class that left a lasting impression on our guests. We booked Mustafa to play steel drum for our wedding’s cocktail hour. My wife absolutely loves steel drum, so we really wanted to have this at some point in our wedding. Mustafa arrived early, set up discretely, and played everything we could have wanted so wonderfully during our cocktail hour. We really wanted to hear a bit of Charlie Brown Christmas music during the cocktail hour, and he did an amazing job with it despite that not being a usual thing in the steel pan musical canon. If you are looking for both a great musician but also a true professional, Mustafa is your guy!

My name is Mustafa Alexander and I'm interested in performing at your event. I'm one of the best Steel Drum performer in theTri-State area, performing at high profile events such as the Anderson Cooper Show. My father, who is from the Island of Trinidad & Tobago where the Steel Drums was originated, got me into playing the Steel Drum at an early age and I fell in love with this tropical instrument. I studied music at Five Towns College and traveled the world playing the Steel Drum. Making a career playing the Steel Drum is a dream come true.
I specialize in corporate events, weddings, cocktail hours, birthdays, bat , bridal showers, and more. I'm a one man band and I don't need much space. bring my speaker, microphone, iPod with backing tracks (if needed), and of course the beautiful Steel Drum. can also provide a solo acoustical Steel Drum performance or Steel Drum and vocalist combo. Most of my clients find the Steel Drum and backing tracks combo to be very, fun, and entertaining.
