July 25, 2016We employeed Lesa at the last minute to speak to a group of teens aging out of foster care. Lesa did an amazing job connecting with these ladies. She asked questions and it felt like a round table discussion. She asked about what they wanted out of life and then told them how to go about getting it. She gave these ladies something to look forward to in life. Additionally, her STORY was so inspiring!

Ms. Lesa is a native Houstonian, born in the city’s historic Third Ward to teen parents. Her early life was filled with challenges—molestation, depression, low self-esteem, abuse, bullying, and more. She often wondered, “If only I had known... known my options, known my worth, known what was possible.” Once someone took the time to teach her, everything changed.
From earning a GED to achieving an MBA, from working in the service industry to leading it—Ms. Lesa redefined what it means to beat the odds. Once labeled a “product of her environment,” she is now known as a passionate voice of empowerment and inclusion.
She has served as President of two nonprofit organizations, COO of a corporation, a real estate entrepreneur, and a respected leader in the South Union community.
Today, Ms. Lesa is driven to show women and girls that nothing is too hard. You are more than your past, more than your zip code, more than what others told you was possible.

I only require that there is very little separation between me and the audience. I enjoy the up close and personal attribute of speaking.
Growing up in a inner city neighborhood and faced with many challenges, I was thought to be lost, unsalvageable. So I know what's it like to be written off and have to rewrite your own story. Success is obtainable -regardless to your history!
