Mr. Lee's Science Magic

Mr. Lee does a variety of programs, including Science Lessons in schools, Science Birthday Parties, Science Summer Camps, and Virtual Science Lessons.

School Visits: These are programs on specific topics, such as Light, Chemistry, Sound, Magnetism, Simple Machines, Air, Weather, States of Matter, Heat & Energy, and Electricity. Each program lasts an entire school day (with breaks for lunch, recess, etc.) and is only done in one classroom, to maximize student participation. Mr. Lee typically sets up in the classroom, although sometimes uses a designated room. There is always at least one, and sometimes two take-home projects for the students, as well as a souvenir color-changing pencil.

Science Birthday Parties: Parties are generally 1 1/2 hours long, and are often done in private homes, clubhouses, churches, or other public venues. The birthday child picks two science projects from a list Mr. Lee provides, and everyone at the party participates and takes the projects home.

Summer Science Camps: These camps have been held at universities and schools in Texas, Virginia, Illinois, and Ohio. They are five days long, typically three hours per day. The camps are on a variety of topics, such as Outer Space, Rocket Building, "Incredible Stuff," and Slime.

Virtual Science Lessons: These lessons are shortened versions of Mr. Lee's school programs, adapted for the virtual environment. They can be as short as 15 minutes, or as long as 1 1/2 hours.

Mr. Lee has been doing Science Magic for over 25 years. He has visited schools throughout the Midwest, Texas, Guatemala, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Over 50,000 students have benefited from his amazing presentations, and many have gone on to study science in college!
Mr. Lee has degrees in Aviation, Music Performance, and Intercultural Studies, and is a former Cyclotron Operator at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University.
