What to Expect
Before you hire Motor City HDJ, let's sit down and talk about your vision for your event. It needs to be perfect for what you need. I want to deliver on that and a good, old fashioned conversation is the best way to get the ball rolling.
When we meet, I'll show you my official presentation. We'll talk about your vision, the services I offer, what you're investing in, and my online client planning tools. When you're comfortable with that, I'll show you my agreement and accept a 50% deposit to book your event. Then, let the planning begin!
Throughout the process, you'll coordinate with me "in the cloud." Every bit of planning happens on my online client planning portal. When we get to the day of your event, I'll arrive to your venue at least 2 hours before. This gives me plenty of time to chat with your banquet manager, scope out my location, and setup my equipment.
If you've booked me for your wedding, I'll be all ready to go when yo arrive to the venue. I'll line up you and your bridal party and then call the room to order. I'll welcome your guests and introduce your parents. From there, the excitement begins. I'll introduce your bridal party to whatever music you've selected and the night will begin. The goal is to make you feel like king and queen of the party.
I'm not obnoxious and I don't feel the need to talk every 2 minutes. I want to entertain but not be an entertainer. I want to engage with you and your guests while still maintaining my professionalism. I won't be drinking at your event, so you can rest assured knowing that I'll be concentrating on the task at hand.
You deserve perfection. That's what you should expect.
Additional Booking Notes
Clients that hire Motor City HDJ anticipate a full dance floor. In every case, the DJ needs to be placed directly in front of and parallel to the dance space. The dance floor lighting rig is computer programmed and calibrated to a square dance space. There shouldn't be any tables between the dance floor and the DJ.
If there is a meal, the DJ needs to be included in the head count. He needs to be seated at a table with other guests. It is his preference to be seated with the most outgoing people in the room so that he can encourage dancing during the open dancing period.
Standard 8' - 10' banquet table with skirting
