November 14, 2025It was a true joy to spend time with Brian at a recent conference for women who are church girls' club leaders.
He is approachable and genuine. His presentation wasn’t a “lecture” -- He encouraged audience questions. His style is laid-back, yet it's easy to hear the enthusiasm and conviction in his message.
I appreciated how he was able to take his own incredible story and easily weave it into our conference theme, providing real-life applications that we could use back in our girls' club classrooms.

He was vulnerable about his story as an adopted child in a white, rural community; losing his best friend in high school while still struggling with his own trauma; and still struggling as an adult to fully understand his personal story and trauma from adoption.
However, while the audience deeply feels Brian’s emotions and authenticity, he offers an incredible story of hope, courage, and promise through our identity in Christ. He connects God‘s promises in a way that is relevant and very real for each person in the audience.

I've seen plenty of other speakers put on a show—jumping around and yelling to get people fired up—but that’s not Brian at all.
