Derek Morris, a legendary collegiate offensive tackle for NC State University and professionally with NFL teams the Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals, and the Detroit Lions. Beyond his achievements Derek carries a multigenerational football lineage. His grandfather, Riley Morris, played for the Oakland Raiders. His uncle, Mercury Morris, won The Super Bowl with the Miami Dolphins. His cousin, James “Jetstream” Smith, accredited fullback with the Oakland Raiders. His father, Derek Morris Sr., played college basketball and semi-pro football until signed with New York Jets. Through his accomplishments on the field and adversity Derek found his true calling: coaching, mentorship, and public speaking at community events and youth organizations. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Derek now dedicates his life to delivering powerful lessons about accountability, teamwork, resilience, discipline, and making positive life choices that were instilled in him to succeed both in the field and in everyday life.
