Are you looking to distinguish your event? Are you looking to create a atmosphere? Are you looking for something different? Then you have found the right cellist.
As a baroque specialist, I play music from around 1600 to 1750 written by composers like Bach and Haydn. I play instruments that are strung with gut strings tuned lower then what you hear normally. I also use a variety of stylistic techniques which attribute to the unique sound.
If you want something other then the same old string quartet playing the same old pieces you hear at other events, send me a quote.

Baroque music is special because it serves many purposes at the same time. It is light and tuneful enough that it pleases those who want to have music but do not want to really listen, but complicated enough that those who want to pay attention are satisfied. It is very personal and intimate so that the audience really feels like they are part of the music making. It also can bring about a certain feeling of class and sophistication, but can just as easily be used to create a lively and rambunctious feel.
Baroque music tends to be on the warm quiet side of things so it is much better suited for smaller indoor events, but can be adapted to be louder.
Depending on the event I will be hiring 1 to 2 people to fill out the ensemble unless I am specifically requested not to. I will always talk with you about this during the quoting phase.
Born into a family of two professional musicians, Morgan Little started playing the cello at 6 years old. He graduated from high school at the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts, where he was principal cello for three years. He won a position in the cello section for the 2010-11 season of the American Youth Symphony under the baton of Alexander Treger. Morgan was accepted into the Manhattan School of Music in the fall of 2011 as a student of Alan Stepansky and completed his freshman year at the conservatory. He currently is a student of Stephen Balderston at DePaul University. Other teachers include Richard Naill, Neil Carey, Yehuda Hanani, and Andrew Cook. In 2011 Morgan attended the Bowdoin Summer Festival, Gold Coast Chamber Music Festival and the Sierra Chamber Music Festival. In 2013 Morgan attended Three Bridges music festival and Eastern Music Festival where he received honorable mention in the concerto competition. This summer he attended Eastern Music Festival and Marrowstone Music Festival in Bellingham, Washington where he played under the baton of Gerard Schwartz. In 2014 morgan attended a festival in Schwäbisch Gmünd where he played the Bach christmas cantada under the conductor Helmut rilling. Morgan has also freelanced in the Los Angeles area. He has worked with Orchestra Santa Monica, Westwood United Methodist Church, Pasadena Presbyterian Church and various other small ensembles.
Currently Morgan little is playing in the Depaul symphony orchestra and has been a large part of the Depaul baroque ensemble. He recently preformed the Bach wedding cantada with the famous harpsichord player Ketil Haugsand.
