June 28, 2023Mission Impossible Was Great!
I had Mission Impossible play at my outdoor event and they were outstanding! They played a mix of traditional jazz/Dixieland as well as cool vintage tunes like Herb Alpert, and classic dance tunes from the 60’s and even some Chicago. We got lots of great comments from our guests. They were very easy to work with and were total pros in every way. A great experience!

June 28, 2023AUTHENTIC NEW ORLEANS JAZZ IN THE PENNA/MD/DELAWARE area
Hearing jazz played "up north" as you might experience it in a rowdy New Orleans club is one of the least things you might expect. But every time we book Ben Mauger's Vintage Jazz Band that's precisely the sound flying off the band stand. Joyful, energetic, danceable and, at the same time, very respectful of the American jazz tradition. Our group, the prestigious Potomac River Jazz Club which has been listening to and vetting bands for more than half a century is delighted every time we can get Ben and pals to perform for us. It's an audible treat with a spike in attendance. Every event is the same yet different as Ben pulls from a seemingly endless variety of tunes but always makes sure to include some favs. The Vintage band is a treat.

What to expect
If you are planning an event and would like a musical group. Please keep me in mind. From a cocktail hour where you want nice soft Jazz, to a roaring 20's theme, or New Orleans. From 3 musicians to 8 if you want the complete 1920's band, or a 1960's band. I think best of all is that the musicians that work with me ...........well we kind of know a whole lot of different styles of music. We pretty much can make it work for what you want, and within your budget too.
1920's classics, 1950's Jazz , 1960's soul, Show tunes, Herb Alpert & Tijuana Brass, or top 1960's songs from groups like BLUES BROTHERS, CHICAGO, SAM & DAVE, even BAD BAD LEROY BROWN. We can do it for you.
About
Well, here I am filling out a Bio: I could fill this up and bore you , but I won't. Simply put is I live in South Central Pennsylvania and I have been playing the trumpet, and leading bands for over 30 years. From New Orleans Jazz to 1960's rock to cool Jazz. All I can say is that I can not remember many times that I left the gig where the folks that hired me were not thrilled. I only use the most professional musicians. And that means in every way, not just musical. So bio:???
I've been pleasing audiences with my music for over 30 years. I have performed with the Army Bands, Air Force Bands, and my musical groups have been pleasing audiences up and down the East Coast as well as overseas.
