Mishella is a multi-faceted artist, singer-songwriter, musician, actor, model, dancer, and vocal coach. With a lifelong passion for performance since a young age of six and a heart rooted deeply in music. With a soulful voice, emotional presence, and raw, expressive delivery, she brings a fresh acoustic twist to current hits and timeless retro favorites, alongside her own heartfelt original songs.

Her musical journey spans a wide variety of genres, from fronting original and cover bands to performing solo with acoustic guitar and soon keys/piano. Mishella has performed music ranging from pop, rock, R&B, soul, Motown, classic rock, hard rock, funk, indie, alternative to jazz, including reinterpretations of classic retro hits that audiences know and love. As a songwriter, she creates both music and lyrics from personal experiences, stories of resilience, identity, and emotional truth, crafting songs that feel both intimate and universal.

Born in Karlovac, Croatia (formerly Yugoslavia), Mishella immigrated to Canada as a war refugee after living in Germany for five years, carrying with her the cultural richness of her heritage. She writes and performs in both English and Serbian/Croatian, proudly representing her Ex-Yugoslavian roots through her music, language, and artistic presence in the diaspora community as well. She speaks five different languages.

Mishella's professional career includes an extensive and diverse live performance history across Western Canada and beyond, having headlined at major venues and community festivals, and appearing in both intimate acoustic spaces and large-scale concert settings. Highlights include:

Headliner at the Serbian Days Festival for 5 consecutive years, performing full professional sets over the 2-day festival in Vancouver, as well as on tour across Calgary, Edmonton, and Regina.

Featured on stages such as The Roxy, RiverRock Casino, Edgewater Stage at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, Shangri-La Hotel, Backstage Lounge, Imperial Vancouver, Cafe Duex Solei, Rusty Gull, Richard's On Richards, Picadilly Pub, Polish Center, Scottish Center, Buffalo Club, Chilliwack Cultural Centre, Venue Club, Twelve West, Cabanna Lounge, Chai Lounge, Java Jazz, Oscars Pub, and more.

Residencies include a 2-year solo engagement with the house band at the Java Jazz, a 4-year weekend residency at Balkan House, and over 7 years of regular performances at St. Sava and St. Archangel Church Cultural Centres.

Shared the stage with Crvena Jabuka in a sold-out concert, including a live duet, and opened twice for iconic rock legend Bajaga in front of sold-out audiences.

Has performed at a wide range of professional, private and specialty events including weddings, corporate galas, fashion shows, cultural festivals, tribute nights, New Year’s and holiday concerts, birthday events, and senior home concerts and more.

Charity & Humanitarian Impact

Mishella has used her voice to make a difference, headlining benefit concerts and fundraising efforts that have raised over $34,000 for humanitarian causes:

Raised $15,000 through benefit concerts and cultural community initiatives for Gracanica Hospital in Ex-Yugoslavia.

Helped raise $9,000 for Balkan flood relief efforts in partnership with the Novak Djokovic Foundation and Red Cross.

Performed for the Rock Bands for a Friend cancer benefit concert, which raised over $10,000 in support of local cancer patients and their families.

Her original music has been featured in a live performance and interview on CITR 101.9 FM UBC Radio, where she appeared with her original band. Mishella has also been invited on radio twice more to promote and support her fundraising efforts for humanitarian aid, helping bring both awareness and community support through music.

Currently, Mishella is performing solo with acoustic guitar in the near future on piano/keys as well, while preparing over a dozen original songs for future release. Whether she’s on a small, intimate acoustic stage or commanding a full audience at a major venue, Mishella’s performances are rooted in authenticity, soul, and deep musicality, inviting every listener to pause, feel, and connect.

My setup is versatile and professional. Perfect for everything from intimate venues and private events to larger stages and outdoor festivals. I typically perform with:

- 1 vocal microphone (lead vocal mic preferred)
- 1 mic stand
- 1 DI or input for acoustic guitar
- A balanced mix of vocals and guitar through the PA system
- Front-facing lighting or spotlight for clear visibility
- Access to a standard power outlet if needed for amp or PA

While I perform acoustic-style sets, I always ensure the sound fills the space appropriately, from relaxed lounges to lively festivals. I adapt my volume and presence to suit the environment, whether it’s a soft ambiance or a more engaging main-stage performance.

If a full PA system isn’t available, I can bring a compact professional setup that works beautifully for smaller spaces and private events.
