Miri Hunter is a Virginia Native, who makes her home between the Mojave Desert of Joshua Tree California and the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia. She offers a musical experience that contains elements of Americana, Country and Folk to create a unique, contemporary folk sound. She has woven and inspired what Nashville calls Desert Country Rock (DCR). Her recordings explore country/desert melodies and brings them into a contemporary folk style. Within the realm of music, she creates a montage that is representative of Americana music influenced by the dreams and spirirt of those who came before.
