We will communicate with you on a consistent basis (sometimes daily) to make sure we are thinking the same things as you and your fianc. We will be spending a lot of time together collaborating on your next event and in order to make it the best possible experience, you need to like the person your working with, either personally or professionally. I wanted to give you a snap shot into my world and how I started Minneapolis Event Planner.
I had to become very efficient at time management back in 1999, as I was working and raising my 2 year old son Trevor alone, after my divorce . In 2003, while still working full time, I completed my Bachelor of Science degree from Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis with a major in business administration. Prior to finishing college, I worked as an executive assistant for several fortune 500 companies and learned how important it was to help others stay focused, on schedule and within budget. As a personal assistant to CEO's and VP's, I learned quickly that not only was I really good at organizing them, but I was extremely organized in my own life. With my degree in hand, I started my new career in sales and for the last 12 years, I have worked with several consumer product goods companies as a sales executive. During my tenure, I have learned contract negotiation skills, time management and excellent follow up proficiencies. I have managed promotional budgets, new product placement programs and vendors. In November of 2011, I married my wonderful husband Christopher and we enjoy the country life with Trevor, who is now 15 years old. In January of 2013, the company I had been employed with was downsizing and my position was eliminated. I took some time to reflect on my past experiences and where I wanted my next journey to take me. On February 14th, 2013, I started Minneapolis Event Planner and I am very excited to start my new adventure with you. (What a coincidence that I had started my event planning business on the one day of the year that love abounds - Valentines Day!)
The next question you may ask is how do I know if Minneapolis Event Planner is the right fit for me? That question only you can answer after meeting with me, but what I can assure you of is that I have successfully planned two of my own weddings within a very specific budget and both of them were a success. I am an overachiever and a little bit of a control freak, so managing my time and finances has always been easy for me. I have experience in planning corporate events for large fortune 500 companies as an executive assistant and my experience planning my own weddings as well certainly helps. I am not only committed to making your event a true success, but I am committed to making each and everyone of my customers happy!
