The Miles Damaso Group is a 3+ piece group, depending on your needs, consisting of some of the top working musicians in the area. They can play jazz standards from the great American songbook, jazz favorites, and even some of your favorite pop tunes! They arrived on time, dressed the part, and were very polite and professional. They had our members dancing! We would invite them back for any future events that called for their genre again.

The Miles Damaso Group prides itself on being flexible and adaptable to your needs. We can take your requests for repertoire, instrumentation, volume, and anything else and make your event better. Our music creates a pleasant atmosphere that is ideal for any-sized gatherings of people.
Miles Damaso is a percussionist, music educator, and composer-arranger based out of Nashville, Tennessee. He has most recently been the drummer for the Hickey-Shanafelt 9ollective and the J.C. Clements Band and also frequently performs with many other musicians throughout the south and midwest playing a large variety of music.
Miles started teaching music lessons in 2017 and currently teaches lessons to students across the United States. He has also assisted the music programs at Kennedy High School and Bloomington North High School. Miles is passionate about teaching the next generation of musicians and helping them achieve their individual musical goals.
Having completed his undergrad at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Miles is currently pursuing a master’s degree as an associate instructor at Middle Tennessee State University, as well as advancing a music career composing, performing, and privately teaching in the Nashville area.

For extremely large rooms, a PA may be requested, but in most cases our sound is loud enough without additional microphones. AC power is needed for the bass amp and keyboard/guitar amps. If the event is outside, playing underneath a covering is preferred, due to the sun and precipitation.

This group performs a wide variety of tunes in the jazz repertoire. Requests that may not fall into that genre are WELCOME and will be incorporated if possible with enough advanced notice.
This group is flexible in their sound. They can draw influences from the swing bands from the 1920's, the bebop era of the 40's, the great American songbook, RnB, Brazilian Bossa nova and samba, and many more!
