Overview

MidWest Coast is a husband and wife duo playing & paying homage to the great songwriters of this world. Singers and songwriters, telling stories with their songs. Our blend of country, blues, americana, and folk is a refreshing sound embellished with harmonic vocals, a simple yet sophisticated presentation of modern American music.

We play with various instrumentations, the wife leads with her sweet voice in song as the husband is leading the band with his particular picking and strumming on an acoustic guitar.

If you're looking for a band that is going to provide an interactive, story teller songwriter vibe and a laid back sound track, MidWest Coast is the duo for you,

What to expect

A lively folk duo is ready with two acoustic guitars and the occasional string and or percussion instrument for a little flair is what you will see with Emily and Dan Evans! The group does bring in a third instrumentalist playing mandolin for the bluegrass flair. Duelling guitars with the guys, Dan and Chase is always a playful part of the show.

Enjoy Emily's sonorous lead vocals and harmonies, and anticipate some playful banter with the husband and wife.

We travel light, are ready with various set lists, while we play original and cover songs.

About

“MidWest Coast brings rhythm and roots together with a vintage Americana Vibe. Funk and folk influenced by country, blues, classic rock and bluegrass genres. Harmonic vocals and unexpected guitar picking accompany songs that will tell a tale!” - experience a finely crafted soundtrack to life suitable for all adventures
— An Americana Band, Formed 2016 in Nashville Tennssee

Emily left Milwaukee, WI in search of getting back to her musical roots and found her home in Nashville and country music. Dan, while growing up in Bellingham, WA and studying music in Vancouver, BC (yes, he is half Canadian) traveled down to Nashville in search of combining his life long love of blues music with his new found passion for country. Through mutual acquaintances they started writing together and not long after, formed MidWest Coast.

Additional booking notes

If we have a mixing board with six channels we are ready to go! We don't require stage lights, PA or additional accessories. We prefer to have two stools and two mic stands, we are happy to provide our own if necessary.
