May 26, 2018Mr. Berry was hired by my Cub Scout Pack to be Santa at our December Pack meeting, interact with the Scouts, and hand out pinewood derby cars. From initial contact, to communications to finalize arrangements a few days prior to the event, and through the event, Mr. Berry remained courteous and professional. Trying to time the "surprise" arrival of Santa at a strategic point during our meeting required that Mr. Berry hide down a hallway until he got the signal to come in. There were unforeseen delays on our part, and Mr. Berry remained cheerful and willing to roll with the punches. His job as Santa went off without a hitch and we have recommended him to other Cub Scout Packs.

Michigan's Timeless Santa provides a professional, traditional Santa experience that can be scaled from a simple visit to a larger Christmas attraction.
Every appearance is tailored to the event. Santa can mingle with guests, pose for photographs, visit with children and families, tell stories, sing Christmas favorites, distribute client-provided gifts or treats, lead activities, make announcements, and assist with the flow of your celebration.
For corporate parties and adult gatherings, Santa is comfortable circulating and interacting naturally with guests while remaining the warm, family-friendly Santa Claus everyone recognizes. "Bad Santa" or blue-comedy performances are not offered.
For children, interactions are allowed to happen naturally. Some children run straight to Santa; others prefer to wave from a distance or need a little time to become comfortable. No child is required to sit on Santa's lap or pose for a traditional photograph. The goal is a positive experience, not simply getting the picture.
More Than Santa
Commercial and community clients can expand an appearance with additional options, including:
• A five-foot Santa chair suitable for children, adults, couples, and family/group photographs
• A complete Santa Photo Parlour with backdrop and seasonal set dressing
• Reindeer Games and interactive holiday activities
• Gift presentations using Santa's traditional toy bags
• Professional photography by advance arrangement and availability
• Santa's ceremonial North Pole tree-lighting switch
The full Photo Parlour can create a dedicated Christmas photo area using Santa's chair, pipe-and-drape backdrop, Christmas tree, rug, wrapped presents, toy bags, and seasonal decorations. Individual components may also be arranged depending on the needs of the event.
On Stage and in the Community
Santa is comfortable in front of both a camera and a crowd.
Michigan's Timeless Santa is available for company celebrations, photo events, schools, fundraisers, private gatherings, parades, municipal celebrations, tree lightings, and other public or private Christmas events.
Santa can make announcements, introduce guests, lead audience participation, perform light emcee duties, address a crowd, participate in presentations, work with community leaders and press, and lead a Christmas tree-lighting countdown.
Special entrances are welcome. If your event calls for Santa to arrive aboard a float, fire apparatus, carriage, or another memorable way, Santa is happy to play his part while the client coordinates the transportation and logistics.
Choose the Santa That Fits Your Event
Three wardrobe styles are currently available:
Classic Santa — The traditional red-and-white appearance, inspired by the classic Charles W. Howard style and made with wool, satin lining, premium faux fur, leather accessories, and silver-tone sleigh bells.
Business Santa — Shirt, vest, trousers, boots, and Santa hat. A polished but relaxed option particularly well suited to company parties, cocktail hours, and indoor events.
Workshop Santa — Shirt, trousers, boots, Santa hat, and workshop apron for a more casual North Pole appearance.
Whether you need Santa to spend an evening visiting with guests or to become the centerpiece of a larger Christmas celebration, we'll work together to fit the appearance to your event.

Michigan's Timeless Santa brings the warmth and charm of the classic American Santa Claus to celebrations throughout Metro Detroit, Southeast Michigan, and beyond.
With a background in theatre and live entertainment, I approach Santa as more than simply putting on the red suit. Years of performing have taught me how to engage a room, improvise with guests, tell a story, speak before a crowd, and make each interaction feel natural—whether I'm visiting with a child, mingling at a company party, or leading a community Christmas countdown.
My portrayal is inspired by the traditions of Charles W. Howard and the great department-store Santas of the mid-20th century: warm, dignified, playful, and just a little magical. Professional wardrobe, attention to detail, and genuine interaction are at the heart of Michigan's Timeless Santa.
Appearances range from private home visits and corporate celebrations to photo events, parades, tree lightings, fundraisers, and community gatherings.
My goal is simple: to create the kind of Santa people remember from childhood—and the kind of Santa today's children will remember when they're grown.
Availability
Due to my year-round career, Santa appearances are primarily available on weekends. Advance booking is strongly recommended for December dates.
Commercial Events
Commercial appearances have a two-hour minimum. Longer appearances and multi-part events are welcome, with breaks and scheduling coordinated directly with the client.
Travel
Michigan's Timeless Santa primarily serves Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan but is available for travel throughout Michigan, Ohio, and surrounding areas. Extended travel, parking, tolls, and overnight accommodations may affect the final quote.
Insurance & Screening
Michigan's Timeless Santa operates through an LLC and carries seasonal liability insurance from November through January. Background screening can be provided when required by a client or venue.
Arrival & Parking
Please provide accurate parking and arrival information before the event. Santa normally arrives and departs in character. For larger or longer engagements, a private dressing/break area may be requested.
Gifts & Treats
Santa is happy to distribute gifts or individually wrapped treats supplied by the client. Traditional Santa toy bags are available for carrying and presenting gifts. For larger gift distributions, multiple bags can be used with client-provided helpers.
Photography
Guests are welcome to photograph Santa unless otherwise arranged. For dedicated photo events, the client is normally responsible for providing the photographer, camera equipment, and photographic lighting. Professional photographers may be available by advance arrangement for an additional fee.
Special Arrivals
Santa can accommodate special entrances involving client-arranged vehicles, floats, carriages, fire apparatus, or other transportation. Planning, transportation, operators, permissions, and execution are the client's responsibility. Any specialized training or certification required specifically for an appearance must be arranged in advance and may involve an additional charge.
Tree-Lighting Events
Santa's ceremonial tree-lighting switch is a theatrical prop. The venue must provide a designated person to control the actual tree lighting on Santa's cue.
Children & Guests
Santa never requires a child to sit on his lap or participate in a photograph. Visits can be adapted to the comfort, age, and abilities of individual guests.
Adult Events
Corporate parties, cocktail hours, and adults-only celebrations are welcome. Santa remains in character and family-friendly; "Bad Santa," sexually suggestive, or blue-comedy performances are not offered.

There is no required program. Santa can provide a structured period of entertainment or simply visit, mingle, take photographs, and interact naturally with guests according to the needs of the event.
My portrayal of Santa is primarily influenced by Charles W. Howard and the great American department-store Santa tradition of the mid-20th century.
Growing up in Michigan, I’m also drawn to the Christmas traditions of Detroit’s great department stores—particularly J.L. Hudson’s—and the warm, theatrical presentation of Santa associated with that era.
My background in theatre and live entertainment is another major influence. I approach Santa as a character who needs to be believable whether he's quietly speaking with one child, improvising with adults at a party, telling a story, or addressing hundreds of people from a stage.
Visually, I favor the traditional American Santa: quality wool, rich fabrics, fur trim, leather, sleigh bells, and a little old-fashioned department-store grandeur.
The goal isn't to recreate one specific Santa from history. It's to capture what made those portrayals enduring: warmth, dignity, humor, theatricality, and just enough mystery to make Santa feel real.
