While her energetic, infectious style is truly all her own, Michele Lundeen has been compared to artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Etta James, Susan Tedeschi, Aretha Franklin, Beth Hart, Stevie Nicks, and shades of Billie Holiday. Reaching into the audience with emotional vocals and body language, she’s been dubbed "The Queen of Steam" for her electrifying vocal and stage presence. Michele commands attention with talent and warmth and enjoys including the audience in an entertaining, musical romp.

Playing regular showcase venues and a long list of high profile festival events has allowed Michele to expose her musical talents and establish a strong regional following. Formed in 1998, she and her 4-5 pc, San Diego based band, Michele Lundeen & Blues Streak, are multiple San Diego Music Awards "Best Blues" Nominees. These seasoned professionals also won the coveted title of San Diego Blues Challenge and represented in the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. Current band lineup can include guitar, bass, drums plus keys and/or horns. Available as a 2 pc on up, for any occasion!

Growing up in Oakland, CA, music was always the centerpiece and staff of life for Michele. Influenced by the commanding, Gospel/Soul sound, Michele's own musical expressions exude attitude and confidence...but especially honesty. "Singing is a release. I'm telling/singing my story from my heart...my soul...I feel it, I believe it, and I know that the people can relate...I hand over my honest emotions to the audience."

A gifted interpreter of songs, Michele's hi-energy, live performances help tell her song's stories, and one can visualize that intensity in her recorded work. With an honest, sometimes humorous look at the trials and tribulations of life, her lyrics can be poignant or tongue 'n cheek with straight ahead arrangements and catchy hooks. Earthy, rootsy, robust and from the heart. Fans love her honesty and raw intensity.

Michele's love for music not only exudes on stage, but compliments her strong belief that music can have a dynamic impact on people's lives. In her homebase of San Diego she's involved in the local "Blues in the Schools" workshop programs providing live musical instructional and historical views into the blues as an American art form and she's a vocal instructor at a Youth Summer Blues Camp. She's appeared in a documentary segment on San Diego CH 4 TV "Insider" and is featured in a San Diego Dept. of Education film short.
