I play a wide array of music from many different genres including: soft rock, pop rock, classic rock, classical, Broadway tunes, gospel; tunes with a rich beautiful melody being the common thread. My style of music is ideal for restaurants, lounges and any venue with a piano on site. No piano in your home/venue? No worries, I got you covered! I have a full sized (88 keys) Yamaha digital piano and can provide the entertainment, even if you can't provide the piano! If you're having a party or any kind of social event in your home/venue, Michael the piano man is the perfect man for the job! I have a very pleasant personality and great sense of humor, which I believe are also important when making the decision to hire a musician. My goal is to ensure that every client is completely satisfied, and they become repeat ones. I'm not a fly by night musician; I love what I do, I'm not going anywhere and frankly, I can't think of anything else I'd rather do! You won't be disappointed, and that I can guarantee! About

I've been playing the piano since I was 7-8 years old and have an outstanding ear for music. My specialty is playing tunes strictly by ear and because of this very special talent, I am able to learn/master new song pieces within a relatively short amount of time (which varies, depending upon the complexity of the piece). I also took several music classes when I attended college at State University of New York at Albany, including music theory. As a result, my level of understanding and skill level on the piano has steadily increased ever since, and I continue to improve every single day. I'm very dedicated to my craft (which I don't take lightly or for granted) and practice daily, to ensure I'm playing to the best of my ability at your event/venue. My goal is to meet/exceed your expectations at your venue or next event, and I thank you for the opportunity, in advance, to do just that!

Additional booking notes

For my customers who don't have a piano on site; no worries! have a Yamaha P115 digital piano (with stand and bench), with built in speakers. If the event and/or venue requires additional volume, I have a speaker/speaker cable. I also have microphone with mic stand/mic cables for singing.

Influences and inspiration

My influences come from a wide variety of genres/generations. As long as the song has a beautiful rich melody, no style of music is off the table for me! I grew up during the 70's/80's, so most of the tunes I play were written prior to 1990.
