About
Michael Pollock is a multi-faceted percussionist with experience and proficiency in the many aspects of the percussion world. He holds a Bachelors of Music from the University of Iowa and a Masters of Music from the University of Nebraska Omaha. He is also an instructor, clinician, conductor, and music educator. Michael has performed in numerous ensembles including the Pan-American Steel Band, Johnson County Landmark Jazz Ensemble, Nebraska Wind Symphony, Omaha Symphonic Chorus, Omaha Symphony, Daniel Christian Band, Mark Irvin Band, and many more. Currently, Michael regularly plays for musical theatres in the Omaha area; he is regular musician with the Omaha Broadway Bar; and he plays percussion with the Lincoln Symphony. Michael leads his own modular Jazz/Calypso combo “Everywhere Calypso”, coordinates worship music at Covenant Presbyterian Church, and regularly freelances as a percussionist in the Omaha metro area. He is a proud education artist for Innovative Percussion. Outside of music Michael enjoys family adventures with his wife Jennifer, Jude (14) and Etta (10) as well as caring for his retirees as the Area Director of Lifestyle & Wellness for Hillcrest Health & Living.
