Michael O'Dell

Michael was amazing, as was Eden, the bassist he found for us when we asked for a piano-bass duo! Michael is the consummate professional, showing up early and being communicative throughout. The music was wonderful, the guests loved it and were delighted when the duo took on the challenge of a Black Sabbath request! Thanks Michael and Eden, for providing the perfect extra touch to our brunch. :)

Michael was so accountable during our communications and was so accommodating. Although I am sure he could’ve show off his abundant talent at my wedding, but he kept the atmosphere that fits the room. Only a true artist can do that. Lots of guesses at my wedding came up to me saying how good he is. Highly nightly recommended!!

Michael played at an event I was managing a few weeks ago. He was eminently prepared and, when I had to change things last minute, was more than agreeable at making it all work and doing more work than was originally planned. He's a gem.

Michael is an excellent pianist. He can play any kind of music and he's especially skilled as a jazz pianist. I have hired him a couple of times. He's a pleasure to work with and a delight to listen to.

I'm not a jazz expert, but I know what I like. And I like what Mike does. He's got this incredible ability to take a classic standard and make it sound like something new and exciting. He's got a knack for improvisation, and he always seems to know exactly what to play next. Mike also has an incredible energy and passion that just leaps off the stage. He is extremely responsive to requests and input from a crowd. I saw him get a request for an unfamiliar song, then he listened to it on someone's phone for 30 seconds and suddenly he was ready to play it live. Such a gifted musician and a great asset to any celebration!
