We’re not a background act — we build the night. Whether it’s a full bar or a listening-focused room, we adjust in real time, shaping the energy so the music connects without overwhelming the space.

With over 2,000 live shows behind us, we know how to hold a crowd, keep people engaged, and deliver a full performance that feels natural from start to finish.

Clients can expect a professional, reliable trio that’s easy to work with and prepared for the room — whether that calls for energy, dynamics, or something in between.

About

Michael “Big Dog” Murphy is a seasoned roots-rock artist whose voice and guitar style carry decades of real-world experience and over 2,000 live performances. His approach favors feel, groove, and authenticity — delivering music that connects with audiences and holds a room from start to finish.

Backed by a tight, intuitive rhythm section, Michael Murphy & The MOB create a dynamic, roots-driven sound that adapts to the space — equally at home bringing energy to a full bar or drawing listeners in with a more nuanced performance.

This is not a note-for-note act or a background trio. It’s a band built on experience, chemistry, and the ability to read a room and build a night that feels natural, engaging, and real.
