Micah Smith is a Singer Songwriter from Baltimore Maryland with 10+ years of experience on stage and in the classroom. From Lonnie Liston Smith to Kenny Latimore, Jason Nelson and various others, Micah has shared the stage with many in the music industry and continues to do so today. Educating the youth of Baltimore has become a passion for him. As an educator in Baltimore City, expansion has been his mission. He offers students and clients an enjoyable approach to music and education. A multi instrumentalist who studied music and sound under the late renowned Nathan Carter at Morgan State University, Micah has cultivated his own vibe and creates his own art. "Collaboration is key" is the perspective this educator encourages and promotes in colleagues and friends. Song writing, song recording, music and video production are a major focus in his innovative classroom experience rooted in music theory as the foundation. Students explore instrumentation, inspiration from other artist of various genres, rhythm, rhymes and the voice. Micah continues to perform internationally and collaborate with various artist and musicians all over the world.

INSTRUMENT BACKLINE:

BASS: One (1) 400W bass guitar amplifier (Preferred Manufacture: SWR) with 4X10” cabinets, speaker cables and power wiring. 1 Keyboard Stand, One guitar stand.

DRUMS: 5 piece professional model drum kit. (Preferred Manufactures: Yamaha, DW, PDP). Including 2 mounted rack toms (10” x 12”), 1 floor tom (14” x 16”), one hi hat setup with new cymbals. 4 boom- type cymbal stands with 3 assorted crash cymbals and 1 ride cymbal, 1 snare stand, 1 drum throne. All necessary hardware for setup and normal operation of drum kit should be included. 1 Floor Mat to cover Drumming Area.

PRIMARY KEYBOARD STATION: ONE 2-Tier Keyboard Stand, 1 Yamaha Motif 8 setup on bottom tier of stand, 1 Korg Triton, Roland Fantom or Yamaha Motif 6 to serve as Secondary Auxiliary Keyboard setup on top tier of stand. WORKING SUSTAIN PEDALS, POWER AND PATCH CHORDS.

SECONDARY KEYBOARD STATION: 1 Hammond B-3 Organ with a Leslie Speaker w/ mic. 1 Yamaha Motif 6, Korg Triton 61 key or Roland Fantom 61 key placed above upper manual on Hammond Organ. NOTE: In the event Hammond B-3 Organ is not available, please equip this secondary Keyboard Station with the same backline as PRIMARY KEYBOARD STATION. WORKING SUSTAIN PEDALS, POWER AND PATCH CHORDS.
