For the past decade, I have passionately practiced and studied Hoop Dance. Performing Statewide at events such as Castle McCulloch MArdi GRas and Beer Fear Bash, The Burlington Carousel festival, Camel City Bikefest, North American Body Painting Championships, Active City Streets, Goldsboro Art Council, Mini Maker Faire, and many other private functions.

Special Requirements for FIRE PERFORMANCES

To ensure the SAFETY of both the audience and the performer :
AMBIENT Lighting of the stage area is important ( note* too many bright light sources will take away from the cool effects of the fire)

AT LEAST 400 sq ft of well marked and/or Roped off performance space is necessary if no apparent stage is provided (string lights/leds work well since most fire performances take place at night)

OUTDOOR Fire Performances are optimal

INDOOR Fire Performances should only be conducted in a Large, Well Ventilated Space with high ceilings

An OUTDOOR
area will be nessecary to provide a fuel storage/fueling station that is a SAFE DISTANCE away from the open flame performance area

A SAFETY person will accompany the performer to the event and oversee the performance(s) the client may also provide additional safety persons (as desired) to act as security for the fire area. Memory will brief any additional help, on Fire Hooping Safety, prior to the performances . The Safer the Better!
